Just reliazed with this There is no reason to go to That ISO Site. This is a portable That ISO Site. I love it!

I was actually wondering if this would be the case. Aren't some games released as physical only? From what I've seen in Freeshop, the games available aren't that many (though of course this is probably due to the titlekeys file not having all the keys that exist), as most of them are small or retro games. So in any case, I don't think Freeshop is making that iso site obsolete at all, at least not for now.

Right now..
About 600-700KB/s on O3DS.
About 1000-1200KB/s on N3DS.

I have 100/100 megabit at home.
Keep in mind that b/g/n connections are inherently slow. Unfortunately, the 3DS doesn't support a/n connections. If it did, it'd be much faster network wise. So, it doesn't really matter what kind of connection you have, the 3DS is gonna be limited.

I've always wondered. If I install the ticket of a preload game will the preload be actually activate on my 3DS and I would be able to download the seed from the eShop on release date?

an easy way to find out, test it :)
i personally think it's simply the seed that nintendo holds back on predownloads, but i haven't read much about it

I was told seed encryption was created because of pre-purchasing, to make it "impossible" to play the game at all before the official release date, because the console won't be able to decrypt the game until then.

yes i understand that :) but, there also must be something else apart from the seed - because when we install a cia without the seed we just get stuck on the 3ds loading screen.
but for predownloaded games, that doesn't happen right? i think it gives a message pop up

People always bitching on the temp..

Because some people actually recognize the line between getting free games from someone who distributes it versus getting it straight from the official online shop.
This is pretty much like going to Steam and buying everything you want for zero dollars.
I wouldn't be surprised if people actually get arrested for this. I think this might count as electronic fraud or theft, but I'm no expert in legal matters.

It's more like downloading stuff straight from Steam servers. You'll get the data, but you won't get pass Steam verification.

The differences in security protocols are irrelevant. The idea is you're not supposed to be able to get that from them without paying for it. And you took it from them without paying for it. That's the simplest way to put it.

If you got it from someone else, then that's different.

It's effectively the same in the end.
It's their decision to allow free downloading of contents from their servers.

yeah, i guess it's in some system save, maybe the home menu's save or something?
back it up, delete it, see if the pop up message still appears - restore after experimenting :)

- but i don't care enough to test :D

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I was wondering: can you download content fron the cdn over https?
over https specifically, or just http?
i mean, this isn't new, CIAngel isn't new, it's just doing the job of FunkyCIA/FunKeyCIA (and CDNto3DS before that) - but on the 3ds itself.

It's more like a shop leaves their doors open and you go in with an atomic replicator. And their security cameras are crap and can only tell you an approximate location that they were in at a point in time. There's no way they can link the person with the download enough to be able to take any action. They left the door open - if they want to stop it all they have to do is shut the door. They can't go after anyone who downloads their stuff through their open door.
