TubeHax redirects m.youtube.com, not www.youtube.com or youtube.com. If you go to m.youtube.com on the WiiU, and you see a plain-looking web page with a firmware dropdown, then TubeHax DNS is working.
i'm not sure what that means but i get youtube's 404 error when trying to access m.youtube.com on my wii u, is that what you mean?

I've been having a problem with hosting on my android device. It looks like it works partially (gets passed race attack), but I keep getting the error Could not load file /wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/homebrew_launcher.elf. The folder directories seem to be fine, I followed the instuctions in the definitive guide. I've tried different sd cards and I also redownload to make sure the file wasn't corrupted. Perhaps I missed something or maybe it's my device? I've been trying to search the forums, but I haven't found anything that worked so far.

When I open http://m.youtube.com on my WiiU, I get the TubeHax hack page. (That's an old DS hack.) If you're getting an error page from Youtube itself, then either you don't have TubeHax configured properly, or you're not connecting to http://m.youtube.com

1. Do you have a file named "hombrew_launcher.elf" at "SD:/wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher"?
2. If you named your SD card "WiiU", "wiiu", "WIIU", etc, that will cause you problems.
3. Redownload the homebrew launcher, maybe the download was corrupt.

1. I do.
2. I do not.
3. I'll try this. I tried version 1.1 as well as 1.2 RC3 with the same results.
Thank you for responding.

Testing 5.5.1
www.uiiw.tk
Needs homebrew launcher on SD, in a rar below.
iis7, windows server 2012.
Extra compression gzipped, preloader, kernel compression, optimised for faster results etc.
If it results in a crash, clear cookies on wiiu and try again. cookies disabled server side.
Some nonsense in uiiw.tk/rar/

Is tubehax not working anymore?

TubeHax DNS? It looks fine at the moment.
Code:
>nslookup m.youtube.com 107.211.140.65
Server: m.youtube.com
Address: 107.211.140.65

Name: m.youtube.com
Addresses:  2607:f8b0:4005:806::200e
          107.211.140.65

>nslookup nus.c.shop.nintendowifi.net 107.211.140.65
Server: m.youtube.com
Address: 107.211.140.65

Name: nus.c.shop.nintendowifi.net
Address: 127.0.0.1

@fiveighteen, could you kindly update the inject_gba section of your most excellent guide?

I've been poking at the packaging & testing on windows.
You shouldn't need to install pyyaml separately, and once installed you only need to type "inject_gba", no path, no "python foo".
It should "just work", if it doesn't there's a bug.

*cough* I forgot to add __init.py__ to git *cough*

Absolutely. Excellent work. :)

It's done. The only question I have is: can you choose the input file for alldata.psb.m, and then choose the same place and overwrite it with your new alldata.psb.m? Or do I have to choose a different location then copy it in and overwrite it?

I figured it was safest to never over-write the original, so you have to choose a different location.
If you always want to copy it back to the same location, it's easy enough to wrap the tool in a batch file.
I did a bulk convert of all my GBA files and put them in separate locations, disk space is cheap.

I guess I've traded "your tool overwrote my file with junk and now I have to download it again!" for "why do I have to copy this file myself each time?"
I'll add some "create a .bak if it doesn't exist, allow over-writes" smarts.

Yeah, the way the program I'm writing does it is by copying the entire base game folder and renaming it right away, so everything inside that can be overwritten to become the new game. I'm (hopefully) just going to be calling your script though for GBA, if that's alright. I really don't want to try rewriting what you've already accomplished in VB.

I added options --allow-overwrite and --create-backup.
For now, these are not on by default. I'll have to add some "don't run as root/admin" stuff, there are several ways you could use the backup renaming as an attack.

Can you fix the instructions?
To install:
python setup.py install

To run
inject_gba ...

Nice! Didn't realize I botched the install/run commands yesterday, whoops. All fixed now.

I've seen references to a guide in this thread. Is this a reference to the initial post in this thread, or are there other, more complete write ups available?

Thanks!
Yes, it's all in the OP. For GBA Injection, look to USEFUL APPS -> How do I create VC games for Loadiine? -> GBA

I know this guide mentions a method to playing physical disc games online, but I was wondering if it would be possible to play legitimate digital download games as well?

100% possible. As long as you aren't using Loadiine to play it, you can go online with any game with a console that's spoofed to at least 5.5.0
