I'll try it when I get home. Thank you.Oh, ok, well then just booting it through hbl sounds reasonable enough

The guide makes you remove rednand//emunand, so unless you need rednand//emunand, you wouldn't gain anything from using it, as redNAND//emuNAND is only used to safely get the OTP for setting up A9LH, as explained better in the first couple of paragraphs in Part 3: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-3-(RedNAND)
As for Luma3DS, you can find info on it here: https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/wiki
If you want to switch to Luma3DS, pretty sure you can just follow the Preparatory Work on Part 5 of the guide.

Best is Luma + a9lh and it's safe as long as your not asking for a brickHow do I decide what is right for me? I just got my N3DS in the mail. How do I decide what CFW etc is right for me. What is best? Safest? Im sure these questions get asked a poopload so where is a good place to start researching to answer my own questions?
It is much better I'll name a few advantages it automatically patches everything if your on new 3ds everything can run at I believe 60 fps it's cleaner and nicer and has a cool icon I'm sure there a lot more just take this muchA big thank you for taking your time to explain all this, I read Plailect's guide, but my english is not very good plus I don't have high CFW knowledge, so I got lost.
The final question, is Luma better than Cakes? What are the benefits of using LUMA?

I was in the same situation as you are now a few months ago and managed to complete the whole process. My recommendation is not purchasing any hardware as it may become obsolete anytime. As long as Im not asking for a brick?
The install procedure (5 fairly long steps?) seems pretty complicated and I already have a Sky3ds+ ordered. Is it pretty foolproof and I should just not worry about it? Or should I just stick with the skycard?
It really isn't complicated just breathe it in and even the program's take care of you is what I ment so you won't brick unless your asking for it and your sky3ds will become an expensive piece of plastic after you do this lmaoAs long as Im not asking for a brick?

Unfortunately I have no experience with VC game save extraction//injection. However, the following links, may help. Again, may.

. I think updating thru a cart is best.just any game in the last years will do. You can check version here then install oothax with the other hackesd 3ds
I think at this point any DS flashcard that is sold as "new" should work in the latest version, as far as I know Nintendo gave up about the DS's flashcards.
Now, talking about quality, I don't remember quite well, but I guess that the ones from the link are kind of a copy of others, so, I don't know how the support might be.
