I have the supercard mini sd for the gba or slot 2 ds. Ive used many flash cards but cannot get this one to work. I cannot find the kernel, just this supercard patching software. Can anyone please help? Thanks!

Go here > Click 'Download File' (on the right near the top) > Click 'Manual Download' > Choose where you want the file to be saved > Extract the .rar file (you should get a 'readme.txt' file and a folder called 'sd' with an 'sd_185.bin' file) > Follow the readme instructions. I just followed these steps. There shouldn't be any windows software.

EDIT: I changed the links in my posts. The old ones pointed to the Rumble version for some reason. Make sure you have the right firmware. Don't want to brick that cart of yours.

shoot, i see now. When I do it, it just has a gameboy advance logo then nintendo underneath is all blurred out like there is no game in. Maybe its because I used an 8gb micro sd and I downsized it to 2gb with diskpart

crap. i got it to work once. ty for the help, tho.

It's possible I'm wrong about that. I just know that most of these older GBA flash carts take 2GB.

One thing I would do if I were you once you get it turned on is, before you try to upgrade the firmware, turn it on without any of the upgrade files on there and see what version you're on. If you can do that, try to upgrade the firmware incrementally (making sure you get the SD version of the firmaware from the 'other versions' section of the link I gave you). That might be a little over cautious, but Supercard (and most of these kinds of flash carts) are not known for their quality. I'd hate to see you brick your cart.

Were you able to upgrade the firmware and it hasn't worked since? Or each time you try it's just stuck at the game boy boot screen?

Also, were you adding games using the writing software? Or just placing them in the SD card?

do i just put the scu file in the sd card?

No. I modified my post, I guess you didn't see it. I linked you to the 'rumble' version firmware by accident. You should remove the .scu file from your card now if it's not already.

Go back to the link I gave you and check the other versions section. Make sure you are choosing the SD version of the firmware. When you download the 1.85 one make sure there's a .bin file (not a .scu file). Put that in the root of your 2BG SD card (mini or micro in a mini adaptor).

After that when you turn the system on it'll install the firmware. Make sure the power stays on.

Oh the bin file like as in when you first download it? Like .bin? Cause this is the problem I'm having now and it shouldn't be doing this since it thinks this is a 2gb micro sd
