Hacking Multi-Region Trading Non-Wifi [Pokemon D/P]

Hey guys.
Was just wondering whether non-wifi trading between different regions of the new Pokemon games is working.
That is, close range trading with a friend.

Eg. Standing 1m apart, person A with the NTSC version of Pokemon and person B with the PAL version of Pokemon. Will trading/ multiplaying interaction be successful?

Just want to see if i should wait until June 21st for the Aus release, or screw it and just import the US version.

I've heard it works between English and Jap. so I'm pretty sure you can go ahead and import.

but then again im not 100% sure so...

Australia sucks at getting NDS games. Someone around said we get 30% of all games and that pretty much sums why there are so much Australians on GBATemp because we can't get most games(sorry for going on a rant there)

Well, Europe gets about 60%, USA 90% and Japan all.

Be aware that GBA to DS transfer is region locked. So if you import D/P from the states you won't be able to transfer any Pokemon from your Aus brought games.

Some guys on gamefaqs tested it, it seems to be that USA/UK/AU can be used on USA Diamond/Pearl

And if it doesn't work - you could trade your PKMN via WFC

I don't own a gba or any gba games, so GBA slot trading is not a porblem.

you sure? i thought we get close to the amount in europe, minus crappy local-only games
