I cannot get Luma3DS to boot from homebrew. I have access to the homebrew through menuhax. I was following Plailect's guide to install Al9h. All was good up to part 4 step 26 when it asks to boot Luma3DS or any other cfw. When I try to launch Luma it just reboots my n3DS xl. Before I started the guide, I had ReiNand. I am wondering if somehow that is interferring with the booting process? I have no idea. I am very newb at all this so please be easy on me. :)

Forgot to add: I can no longer boot ReiNand either, it just reboots 3DS as well.

Things I have tried:

1). downloaded the newest Luma3DS v5.4. Put luma folder on root of SD card. Copied Luma3DS folder to /3ds/ directory. Copied both Luma3DS.dat and arm9loaderhax.bin to root of sd card.
could you tell me your 3ds firmware version?

I will review Commits after V5.2, maybe one day (too far) ....... I find the problem

If AuroraWright point me the direction, like this..."search in injector/source/patcher.c " my journey can be short

K just updated to it and for some reason the new firmware is still on but it seems like i will have to do this again because homebrew is not on the menu
  1. Navigate to hblauncher_loader.cia and press A to install
  2. Navigate to lumaupdate_1.2.0.cia and press A to install
  3. Exit with the home button
  4. Launch the HomeBrew Launcher from the home menu icon at least once to download the payload
and the cias i downloaded need reinstalled correct?

edit so far it seems like everything is working and i can log into my account now, but i had to do thoes steps over again to get home brew on the menu and reinstall my cias and i also didn't need to update because it was already on 1133 for some reason.

Is this normal?

edit 2 so far everything is working now so i would say so now lol..

but i wanted to say thanks again pbanj! i wouldve been lost on what to do if you haven't told me i can re flash the old emu lol :)
Sorry I disappeared it was past 5am. Glad you got it sorted.
