Thanks a lot guys!
So Arm9loaderhax is the way.
The onlye missing question for me is. If I install Arm9loaderhax would I be able to boot gateway menu too later? I need it to backup 3ds games, or is there another application to do it?

The only problem is that it requires me to update to 9.2. Is there a way to do it while staying at 4.4?

Unfortunately, no. Installing A9LH will require you to update to 9.2. See my previous posts about how this will affect your game saves.
