What do you mean exactly? Still a black screen?

Did you accidentally use the N3DS update data to downgrade?

Sound like you're bricked unfortunately. You probably used the N3DS pack (or maybe something went wrong during downgrade).

Wait what
Don't you mean MenuHax?

Used N3DS data. What can I do? Definitive brick? This is my cousin 3DS. I have a Sane 3DS, can I open it an change the chasis? my cousin will freak...

It will be useless, since he doesn't have a NAND backup. OP's 3DS is literally a brick now.
Oh yeah, forgot you needed a NAND backup.

When dealing with potentially dangerous things, especially with someone elses' console you should read carefully.

Take another 3DS's motherboard and put it in

Dunno, someone else that knows more about the 3DS' interior will have to answer that

Well, you can technically swap motherboards, but it will be unnecessarily expensive. If your 3DS is a rare collector edition, you might want to do that, but if it's a standard one, you might as well buy a new / used console.

But it would be easier than hardmod, right? Its my cousin's 3DS, he love it a lot, I have a 3DS that I dont use (with a9lh installed on it), so I was wondering if I could swap them so he can have his 3DS back again. Gonna buy some screwers.

And, like I said, I wouldn't do that personally (except if the 3DS is a rare collector model) since:
1) You can only use motherboards from the same console model (obviously).
2) It's a really risky operation (you have to manipulate a lot of tiny parts).
3) All your cousin's stuff will be lost anyway.

You might as well give him one of your consoles, it will be easier and less risky.
