right now i feel like it's not worth the time investment just to shave off a few seconds of boot time. just setting up all of this to begin with took many hours, and i just really wanna play my games instead of constantly updating and messing with system things. i'm sure within a few months it will make more sense conveniently and perhaps be 100% safe, but i'm staying put until absolutely necessary.

Going to attempt this tomorrow on a spare 2DS. But I've used AuReiNand, and it's definitely not "noob-friendly" despite what it says on the homebrew launcher.

But tomorrow because I have a darn day off from work so I can fiddle with my Nintendo consoles as much as I please. I just want this so that I can get a fast booting system and a vanilla looking system - I had to explain that my 3DS was okay from the "rainbow boot". And to say that I've done it to my 3DS outright and to future proof it.

And your calculations are assuming you're just sitting there turning on your 3DS with nothing else to do while It boots. Examples being, Watching TV, Fiddling with your Smartphone, Browsing the Internet.... etc. And even then, assuming how many times someone boots is conjecture. Some people may turn their 3DS off up to 3, 4, 6, 10 times a day. Maybe it'd be more worth it to them, but for me, your calculations would be way off base because my 3DS only ever gets shut off if it Crashes. And that happens maybe once a week if I'm unlucky.

You know thi whole debate is ueless because i just let my 3ds sleep at the home menu, and it takes 3 seconds to wake up.

While downgrading, your New3DS has a higher risk of bricking. But Its not the case for Old3DS users. Why? Why haven't you installed arm9loaderhax yet? Comments and the poll too.

Ew, I wouldn't send my 3DS off to some random person on the Internet and pay them to install something I can do myself. If you want to do this I think you're better off doing it for people locally. I don't know how you'd advertise though. I see you're in India so maybe the laws there aren't as strict. If you do a few friend's systems maybe word of mouth could be your advertisement.

But yeah, I'm kind of surprised with the amount of people who haven't installed a9lh, I'm a female with very limited hacking knowledge and managed to do it on both my O3DS and N3DS. I can follow directions and honestly that's the only skill you need. If you can't follow directions well then I wouldn't recommend a9lh.

the thing is... Not many people have 3DSes here. The price of a 3DS is double of what it is in USA. So only the *rich* people can afford one. So working locally would not be my option.

The laws are strict, but due to the high population, nobody gives a fuck here. People are illiterate, and idiotic (except for some of them). Politicians are corrupt.

I would say, wasting 3 hours of your time to get rid of the annoyance factor of menuhax not booting is worth it. On paper it doesn't sound that great but until you actually used a 3ds with a9lh you really don't know what you are missing out on.

First i was sceptical so i tried out my old 3ds. It worked perfectly. So i tried my n3ds. First try success!
Best thing ever made. Super fast and Never failed to Boot.

Off topic but do 2DS really cost $60 in the USA ? I got mine for 99€ and still thought it was a good deal compared to the XL I got for 179€ and the New XL I got for 199€

thing is can you do this with out installign emunand it just takes space up on your sd card while your doing this if every thing you need to do this is n 3dsx version you would't need emunand
