does plaicdn support game manuals, downoad play stuff, etc?
It does. The only thing it doesn't support so far is DSiWare, because of makerom.
Oh, and by the way, there are some "bad", not redownloadable DSiWare's on other sites.
They were converted from .nds files using make_cia, instead of dumping with FunkyCIA.

Of course, one day Nintendo will shut down their servers and bad tickets won't be a big deal anymore.
But until then it would be good to give people ability to redownload stuff from eShop without using PC. ^_^

Old outdated code was used for this and because of this it's bringing back some very nasty bugs onto a scene that really truly could have done without all the bad crap.

PlaiCDN uses makerom, which is still currently maintained and was updated 21 days ago.

FunkyCIA uses make_cdn_cia, which was last updated 3 years ago.

Old and outdated code was not, in fact, used with this.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

"Please don't upload cias made with plaicdn, the cias method is uses is old and the cias it produces interfere with the same content from eshop.
You will not be able to make a legit cia with plaicdn.
I just saw a thread about sharing 'legit cia' title keys... it was embarrassing. the english language has a good phrase - 'the blind leading the blind'

CIAs from plaicdn will not be redownloadable from eshop.
if you try, you will get an error at 99%.
if you install something like an update, from a cia made with plaicdn, and if in the future you want the new version/update, it will fail when you try to update from eshop.
cias made with FunkyCIA, made with GroovyCIA use a different, better process and the cias do not interfere, you can redownload them if needed.
cias made with plaicdn will have a different hash each time you create them... with the better tools, no, the hash is the same each time.

you can use plaicdn cias for yourself.. sure. but don't share them and put them online, because it is less/just the same effort to use FunkyCIA/GroovyCIA and get a nice good shareable no problem cia.

plaicdn COULD use a different method whilst still letting people use keys to build cias, simialr to how it is doing now, it could do it a different way and produce 'good' cias that won't cause problems. but the developer chose to use the ugly old way.

the title keys you guys are using is the 'decrypted title key' - it is possible to use the 'encrypted title key' - which is in the ticket in the ticket.db.

i just want to inform people, because from what i have seen so far, some people really don't understand what is going on

Pulled this beauty off another "site".

You've been called out all over the place. Admit defeat!

This reads like cearp wrote it, complete with the same style of sentences that don't use capital letters and poor grammar, interesting how that works.

You kidding me with that crap about choosing to do it the " old ugly way?"
Makerom was updated 3 weeks ago, make_cdn_cia was updated 3 YEARS ago.

If something doesn't work in the manner you're describing, that'd be a bug with makerom and should taken up with them upstream.

make_cdn_cia was certainly updated in the past 3 years. many, multiple times.
a whole rewrite actually.
if you can't find it, that's not our problem.

anyway, if anyone wants to make GOOD cias, that do not interfere with eshop at all, that are fully redownloadable (just like cias from FunkyCIA) and do not require any decryption...
please use FunKeyCIA!

Hey bitches, what about stopping the flame war. Advertising your own shit tool in ones thread is not that great as you might think.
Stop derailing Plais thread already.

Don't act like a bitch baby competition breeds excellence

Excuse me, mighty GBAtemp Guru. Let me rephrase my former sentence.

Hey idiots, what about stopping the flame war. Advertising your own shit tool in ones thread is not that great as you might think.

This thread is a trainwreck, I was hoping the discussion would turn out to help Plai improve their tool but apparently it just became a dumb "i am right" competition.
Licenses are not an "I am right" competition. It's ethics, and it's law. Without proper licensing, open source would be complete crap, and if someone is trying to participate in the OS community they need to learn about proper licensing.

I wasn't talking about licenses at all, just the general attitude of the two devs.
