Every time I add something, it needs not to impact the code much or the performance, and multiple different people (like 5 or so) asked for it.
Other than that, yes it has several options, but I spend most of the time cleaning the code (yeah, I'm OCD about it. you can notice it if you look at the commits). I simplify everything that can be simplified, remove every line that I can remove.
I also try to keep it readable and comment everything.
As an example, to avoid the bloat of having the user input a loader.cxi compatible with their FIRM, I found a way to patch the loader to make it "universal". I also cleaned the patching code in loader a lot.

Also, so much hating on this thread. Makes me think I'm dumb to spend hours (and, often, hours in a single day) on this.
Calm down~
On the one hand, Rei-chan has main focus on emunand. On the other hand, Au-chan has main focus on the needs of her users.
Each one has their own ways to do the work and both do it very well.
You should forget about this whole thing of "hate". Actually, think about "why" did you start working on your project.
Let's be friends as always~

I think all this should be left out of the public domain now, everybody agree's there's room for everybody. If Rei and Aurora wish to talk let them do it in private and the rest of us should stay out of it, I will be quiet now :)

@Aurora Wright and @Reisyukaku, ReiNand is a great minimalistic CFW and AuReiNand is a great mod of ReiNand that adds some features that are very desireable to the end user. I appreciate both versions. Personally I like the minimalistic approach of ReiNand but I cannot ignore some of AuReiNand enhancements (GBA saves, FIRM protections, updatedsysnand). The end users all have different ways they use the CFW. Some play primarily 3DS titles which both do flawlessly. Some play alot of GBA VC which AuReiNand seems more adept to handle the potential save issues. Some users like the version string customization which ReiNand is famous for. If you are a power user who wants as many features as possible packed into your CFW I see the appeal of say RXTools and AuReiNand. If you are the simple user who values the minimalistic CFW then ReiNand is for you. Let's not forget about @mid-kid Cakes CFW. All great CFW which each have their place in the scene. Sorry for the long post and apologies to @Aurora Wright as alot of my posts may lead her to believe I am unappreciative of her work. Thank you to all the CFW devs whose projects make this scene great.

Hello guys, I'm currently on Rei 3.3 and I would like to update to 3.5.

Can someone help me with this ?
I'm not familiar with this and I don't want to fuck up my Emunand.

Should I drag and drop all the archive content in the root of my SD card ?
I use a custom splash boot.

Just drag and drop, and use your own splash.bin instead of the one included to keep your custom splash.

Just replace the rei folder on root of mSD/SD and inset your custom splash.bin overwriting the included splash.bin in the rei folder. Depending on whether you are A9LH user or use menuhax or another entrypoint you may need the Reinand.dat and 3ds folder on root of mSD/SD also.

The "arm9loaderhax.bin" file is just for the people that use A9L CFW, right? I mean, if we run EmuNAND it's not necessary put that .bin file in the SD, right?

tried to restart the device but not working ninja hack

Well, I guess it depends on how much it takes to boot emuNAND, cutting a few seconds might be nice. Otherwise just keep emuNAND :P
so it is just booting times and not loading games in general?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

It is slighty faster, not a huge difference. But RedNAND has no real downside except of the compatibility (but ReiNAND, AuReiNAND and Cakes are compatible, so not a big deal).

Where did you see that it was not recommended ? It's reliable, you can switch to RedNAND with Decrypt9.

I might have expressed that the wrong way. I wanted to say: so for just a benchmarkable performance increase you wouldn't switch emu vs rednand?

I think the performance increase is a bit higher than just "benchmarkable". And considering RedNAND has no real downside, I would switch (I already did, in facts), but that's me.
