If you don't have one, it just creates one at start up.

Ok but what is the title id of your cia file? If I check it nothing is there :S

Edit also are tw files save to install? Since I don't seem to have a title id how do you even uninstall them :S

??

It should show up on Home Menu when you install it. It shows up as "TWL GAMEYOB" in DevMenu. You'll need a CFW that patches TWL_FIRM or prepatched TWL_FIRM installed to boot it though.

Ok maybe you have a clue what could be the issue. When trying to reimport a save and editing it correctly and removing the securevalue. It just says an error has occurred and the 3DS restarts :S.

So close getting this to work but no dice :S

Edit:

Ignore everything I got a workaround ;)
PS: TWL version doesn't want to install.
Using rxtools for cfw

How can I extract the rom from the cia version of blue so I can patch the game myself to have the mod on the french version of the game ?
(cause when I try to dump it with braindump I just get a red screen)

HackingToolkit.exe can decrypt cias directly. Have a look at it.

I think you talk about the SDK7 option, but when I try to use it on the .cia of pokemon blue, after all the steps, there is nothing, no folder or .bin files.

How did you guys managed to do it ?

I tried to decrypt it with Decrpt9WIP but it tells me "seed not found in seeddb.bin!".

I'm really lost, can someone help me please. :)

ehm, everyone here, i suppose that the "new kind that does not install on both nand and allows wireless" is only for pokemon, though, i have found another vc that does NOT support wireless but doesn't install on both nand and doesn't reboot to enter agb mode,, it is super mario bros: deluxe

The only VC's that reboot (and require to be installed to both NANDs) are DSi and GBA VCs. SMB:Deluxe is an old GBC VC.

For the Pokemon Red and Blue versions, couldn't we extract the rom out of the dumped cia title and patch it with ips patches to bring color with it, then inject it back? Currently playing via Gameyob with this patch, http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=361713 to give it a full color gen 2 mod.

nope.

the VC emulator itself it missing palettes, so those games with the brown portions don't appear on VC.
And it may get laggy at some bits (oddly).

<I have the Pokemon red color with exp bar injected on my N3DS>

I'm still interested in this, and just couldn't find anything else about it, has anyone made some progress yet?

Yes, the rom can be replaced: it's a specialized build of the 3DS VC multiplatform emulator after all

You will want/need to remove the patches depending on what game you'll want to install: most Pokemon gen 1 romhacks will work fine, as far as the multiplayer is concerned, because they don't alter the netcode (you may want to disable more exotic patches though, like the move-blurring ones)

See also the above kinda-incompatibility with GBC-exclusive games

For anything else you'll need to remove all the patches, at which point using another base game with savestates is better anyway

I haven't worked on my efforts to colorize the game in a long while because interest seemed to die out.
If you guys still have some interest, I might try and work with the stuff again.
