There are people that say that FBI is not that good installing DLCs... try installing it with BBM or devmenu

Hi, i have a new 3ds (xl) with cfw rx tools and both emunand and sysnand are on 9.2
1) how do i check the version of my rxtools installed ?
2) which version of rxtools support latest (10.7) emunand with new 3ds (xl)
3) how do i update rxtools if needed ?

I myself have trouble with Smash, but not for the same reasons : when booted in the latest version, the game refuses to load and leads to an error message telling to shut down the console and contact Nintendo. From what I'm gathering, it might be because I use Cakes, but I don't know if I'm on latest (and as such should update that), or need another CFW (which i don't know if it is safe). Any suggestions ?

The two of them need many tries to make them run.
The only thing you really need to check is if you downloaded the 9.2 package matching your region and for new 3ds (and not old 3ds).
More than that, you need a little of patience

Hi All,

Guys, need your help. I have N3DS 9.0 Majora's Mask Edition + latest Gateway (emuNAND 10.7).
Two questions:

1) I've installed a lot of different "hax" on my n3DS, all these FBI, MSET, AGB_FIRM, CFW etc. and the thing is... now I even don't remember what exactly CFW I've installed.

3DS work fine but I think it'll be better to start from scratch. Please advise how to safely restore n3DS to it's original non-hacked state, just want to start over and log an each step this time.
Will it be enough to simply "1.Go to system memory and 2.Format System Memory?". Also I have backup of NAND.bin maybe it'll be better to restore the NAND?

2) Somehow I've removed legit pre-installed The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask 3D, how to restore it?

`Just got my 2DS on FW 8.1.0-19U and a little overwhelmed on where to start between A9LH, CFW and Emunand and the ton of different exploits and figuring out what's current and has the most utility,

So from what I gather the first milestone is to do OOTHax with my cart & power save then go through the RXtools guide or is there a reason to consider other CFWs?

I have 9.2 Installed on sysNAND and 10.7 on emuNAND

Is there a way I can set the System to boot sysNAND by default, and emuNAND by holding the R key on boot for Example?

I have my OTP and the Arm9 Files on the SD but I don't want to mess with sysNAND i would like to keep that Untouched..

The final question is, how do I run my Gateway on it? I feel like I remember there being a modified OoT3DHax for it, but I can't seem to find it...

I'm having trouble getting rxtools to load from menuhax. I can get it working through 3ds reboot on the browser, but I really don't want to be limited to load emunand through a browser. Can anyone post up screenshots of their SD card? Mine is a mess right now and I believe that's the problem.

You can boot emuNAND via Arm9loaderhax, but you can also use sysNAND instead of emuNAND once it's installed.

There's a tutorial on it here.

Arm9loaderhax boots a few milliseconds into the 3DS's boot. It is currently the best available exploit. It gives you a 100% boot rate and negates the need for emuNAND. You can also recover from bricks without a hardmod if I remember correctly.

If you're using Cakes, you can configure the patches to boot emuNAND on boot instead of sysNAND. I'm not sure if there's a way you can alternate between booting sysNAND and emuNAND by holding the R button.

There is, it's included with the Gateway launcher download under the "Save Games for New 3DS folder."

You can also set up Gateway to work with MenuHax, which is probably a bit more convenient.

I am working through Plailects excellent Arm9 guide on my stock 8.1FW and need to go up to 9.2 and reading https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/9.2.0-Update is this method for someone on stock with no exploits or is there a different way to get to 9.2?

Did u do install Arm9loaderhax on your 3DS?

Yes. You can update sysNAND to 10.7 with no issues. The exploit is launched before sysNAND is booted, so the signature patches can be applied even with a firmware above 9.2.

Arm9loaderhax is similar to BootMii.

Yes, you will need to downgrade to 2.1 to get your OTP.

After you get your OTP, you will flash your sysNAND back to 9.2. After that, you use your OTP to generate an Arm9loaderhax installer. With the installer, you'll provide it a 10.7 emuNAND backup. It will install Arm9loaderhax and flash the 10.7 emuNAND backup to your sysNAND. From there, Arm9loaderhax will be installed and your sysNAND will be on 10.7. You can still use emuNAND with Arm9loaderhax, but you don't need to. I think it's a matter of personal preference for using emuNAND or not. If you don't feel comfortable modifying sysNAND, then you have the option of sticking with emuNAND. You can save roughly 1GB (depending on if you're using an N3DS or O3DS) on your SD card by not having an emuNAND partition.

I have installed Arm9loaderhax on my N3DS.

Hi everyone,

Just completed Plailect's guide on his github to get A9LH running, have sysnand cfw running at the latest version (EU O3ds). I used uncart to dump my own copy of Smash Bros, converted it to a CIA and installed it; however, trying to run it gets me a black screen (the backlight kinda pulses on and off) that eventually returns to the home screen with no error whatsoever. Any help? FWIW I have a downloaded CIA that works totally fine, just confused that my own copy of a game will not run correctly.

EDIT: Just acquired another CIA of Smash, exact same result. Black screen with backlight turning off and on, then booted to main menu without cause.
