I used this video tutorial on installing A9LH onto my n3ds with AuReiNand on 10.7U.
I would like to access my Sysnand 9.2 so I can swap it with Emunand but I have no idea how because whenever I hold L on boot to enter Sysnand, the 3DS just shuts off. I am currently using CTRBootManager.

R on boot brings me to the boot manager screen like before. I can also access hombrew menu.
Should I have these firmware90.bin files on my sd card?

For swapping NANDs I can recommend this guide. Super easy to follow and it works perfectly.
You need to run Decrypt9 for that, just run it via homebrew launcher on sysNand or via arm9loaderhax (either switch out the arm9loaderhax.bin or start it via a bootmanager)

Yeah I kind of missed it, sorry. I'm super sleepy lol.

Ok I will give it a try.

Just one more question, when I do the swap, does the one that auto boots becomes sysnand? My emunand is on 10.7 so does sysnand become 10.7 and emunand at 9.2? Sorry for these stupid questions, I'm totally new to this.

Yep, that is correct. Your AuReiNand installation will still point to the emuNand though (which is 9.2 after the swap). For auto booting the sysnand, you need to create a "updatedsysnand" file (without any extension) in the /aurei folder on your sd card. Also create a "installeda9lh" file there, just in case. Then it should auto boot your new sysNand aka ex-emuNand which is 10.7.

Ok, thanks. I will post back/edit after I do this.

Oh and I forgot to mention it earlier, for decrypt9 to work, you might need a slot0x05keyY.bin on the root of your sd card, you can find a link to that in the guide you posted earlier.
Also, you can find the "Dump CTRNAND" option under "Sys/Emunand options" -> "Partition Dump" in Decrypt9 and the Inject CTRNAND in the respective "Partition Inject" menu.
Just mentioning it because I totally didn't find it at first xD

Update time. Took a while to get Decrypt9 working.
Seems to be working fine? I have no idea how to check.
Now I am curious on setting up a9lh boot loading with decrypt9.

Well as long as it autoboots to your 10.7 sysnand and boots to 9.2 emunand when you hold L on boot, everything's fine.
For setting up the booting to decrypt9, there are multiple ways to do this.
Personally I used a bootmanager called bootctr9, where you can simply configure the path and button for every .bin file you want to be able to boot
and it works perfectly.
You can also use the chainloading feature of AuReiNand, where you don't have a config file but you're able to simply put all the bin files into a folder
and give them the wanted buttons as filenames (a.bin, b.bin, start.bin etc). This might be a bit easier to setup but the former method has definitely a lot
more freedom in how things work (because you can configure a ton of things)

I simply switched the theme on emuNand and changed the number of icon rows to tell them apart easily. But aside from that, getting into system settings and see the version number there should be sufficient. If it really doesn't change, there are some things that might have gone wrong:

  • Are you holding the button before pressing the power button? A9LH is pretty fast, so you might wanna try that first.
  • Are you sure you didn't accidently reflash the emuNand twice, so that both are now on 10.7? If that's the case, well you should still have the CTRNAND dump of your old 9.2 nand, so simply reflash that again.
  • I'm not sure if that changes anything but do you have both firmware.bin and firmware90.bin in your aurei folder? Aside from fixing that you can also try to hold R instead of L, maybe that works.

is my emunand supposed to have the same look as the sysnand? as in rows/theme?
