Hacking Gateway 3.1 Zelda OoT Compatibility List. Please post

I'm seeing certain 3DS systems on eBay claiming to have the IPS screen, and not needing a boot game (OoT or Cubic Ninja). How are you able to do that?
Is it restricted to only the IPS version of the 3DS?

Well, this should have probably been a new thread as this is only for OoT carts that can run the GW exploit. But it is possible only if the mset.cia was installed to the sysNAND of the console, giving it the old DS Profile method instead of needing a cart. But this would have required the seller to install it using the cart method at some point.

I didn't, my 3DS XL isn't here ATM so I will test as soon as I get it in a couple of weeks.

If you're refering to the model it's an ordinary XL bought it back in 2013, the same day that i bought OoT,I think that this version is actually an updated one, the original OoT 3D came out in 2011 so...

I've got exactly the same serial number as your OoT copy. It loads perfectly on the first try to GW Launcher without any issue.

I believe I've found the solution for the corrupted save file, at least on my end here.

I have a Zelda Ocarina of Time LNA-CTR-AQEE-USA. Back side: AQEEY10220.

I was getting only corrupted save files so what I did was, after all my save beeing deleted because of corruption.

1. Create my own save file from game menu.
2. Used this save file: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/52569571/GWOOTFIX/AQEE.sav (not sure if it's different than the one in GW website).
3. Restored
4. worked.

Also, before doing all this I backup the cartridge saves because this cartridge belongs to a friend. When I finishedd it I had a bunch of .sav files with numbers of it included with the AQEE save file.
I left all those files in my internal SD before restoring.

I think Gateway needs to know where to restore the save file, that's why you need to create a save file using the same system before attempting to restore.

i dont have an o3ds i am using R4i save dongle i bought oot about 1 week ago used one as the N3ds

I guess I am confused. This exploit only works for N3DS? I have a copy of OoT from the Anniversary Edition bundle O3DS and the serial says it is confirmed working but I don't want to mess around with my save files (really enjoy the game) if the exploit will not run on my machine.

Although I suppose I could use it to help out other people to get running with N3DS'...

anyone knows how to check if the zelda is revision 1? according to 3dsdb, there is a rev1 with 4.3u update installed

Try to install oothax then boot gateway mode from homebrew launcher. This worked for me
