Ok went back through all my options and IOS250 is all I have left that has NAND access but makes the apps freeze apon mounting SD. I have another BIG question. I did some research on the physical NAND chip on the WiiU and found a pin out of how to create a cable that allows you to dump or restore IOS's to it physically. I know the WiiU and vwii are different but would the same NAND chip hold both?

Just to be sure, i had to wait maybe 1-2 minutes before being able to get the "press a button to continue" to appear, just so we aint missing.

I let it sit for about 2 hours today on that screen while I worked and nothing happened.

the guide says it will only dump the Wii U NAND, not the vWii.

im unsure how to dump vWii NAND and flash it back.
as for syscheck, there might be a version that exports the report to USB. or try loading Homebrew Launcher off SD, hope it supports a USB, and run syscheck off that (if the problem is the inability to remount the drive)

That means that the IOS used to launch the Hackmii installer is probably super fucked. Do you have SSBB or lego star wars/indiana jones?

Either that or your SD card/SD card slot is bad. Have you tried multiple SD cards?

Is there a copy of HBC in a boot.dol or .elf standalone? I have been googling for days but seems like they have packed it all in the hackmii installer. From what I gather is that the IOS236 installer looks for HBC to be running. If I can somehow get IOS236 installed I could delete/replace the IOS's that are corrupt. I know I am determined to figure something out and I am willing to do whatever it takes even if it bricks the WiiU completely (Not that I want to lol).

I am trying to understand what IOS236 has anything to do with this situation? I don't have IOS236 installed at all. The HBC (afaik) installer looks for a clean (untouched) IOS58 or it will not allow the installation to continue. Your friend must have done a little more than you are aware of. You have NAND access with IOS250 which is good and can be used (should be able to) to install wads...provided it is d2x v10 that is. If you can get ahold of a clean IOS58 (vWii version, NOT Wii VERSION!) and install it that may just fix your HBC installation problem.

I think he installed a bad version of IOS250 due to the fact that it freezes when trying to mount the SD card. Would anyone be willing to upload their vwii version of IOS58? The reason I want IOS236 installed is to get rid of IOS250 and still have a IOS with NAND access.

Again, im pretty sure, that he followed a WII guide instead of a vWii.

I am thinking the same thing. Its lucky he didnt completely brick the vwii portion. It still loads up and I can still do the batman exploit to a .elf file which gives me some type of hope lol

We want to get an IOS 236 on his system so he can actually have the necessary permissions to install a clean IOS 58. But it seems his SD card is broken or there's some other really weird IOS error.

OP, have you tried a different SD card?
