I'm just going to jump in this thread and ask, is there any other benefit to A9LH outside being able to load decrypt9 on boot (yet)?
I'm asking because from what I understand you still can't boot without an SD with the proper files in it from my understanding, and in that case prefer the slower boot time of menuhax.

Umm....how about having CFW on sysnand and using the latest version of sysnand always?

100% boot rate, way faster than other methods, and it adds a "safety" layer if anything goes wrong with Sys/EmuNAND.

I'm comfortable with using emunand up to latest firmware at the moment, and will probably continue to do so when I jump ship to a9lh.

Ok, well, 100% boot rate, and it boots emunand much faster than coldboot. The other plus of using sysnand instead of emunand is you only have to install gba/vc titles to one location.

As long as you have an emunand 9/9.2 backup, you can also load that up to keep exploits.

I wanted to ask about that. I'm using a rxtools nightly build (don't know the exact build) and only install gba games to sd emunand and they boot as expected, is this normal?
Only thing I installed to sysnand was zelda four swords anniversary edition (twl/dsiware) because only that wouldn't load being solely installed to emunand. I can live with the rare failed and slower boot if it means I don't have to touch firm0/1.

IIRC, someone on this thread said they were working on getting it to boot without an SD card. I don't know how long that will take, but if that's what's keeping you from using A9LH then you don't really need to jump ship yet.

RxTools has patches for GBA games. I think it's because of that, but as I never used it, I don't know.

Be aware that RxTools isn't compatible with A9LH. It's getting ready but it's not yet (even if you can find some builds that will boot on o3DS but it misses features/patches).

not sure on the filename, but the image is in raw format 24bpp (bits per pixel) iirc... the tools to make one for ReiNAND should work fine
Awesome , will try that one out, checked the commit on github and it says something about splash_image ... Prolly gonna start to try that as the file name :D

BTW Is there a way to turn off Screen on the bootmanager like there was nothing at all? So only I can know which buttons to press or hold to get to different tools etc? Hahah

How do we use a custom splash screen instead of the ascii art? And what file name does it need to be?

Thanks
you can configure the splashscreens path (together with its file name) in the boot configuration.

It will be added in the next version(maybe today).

I'm about to install arm9loaderhax for the first time on my New 3DS. I have sysnand 9.2 and emunand on 10.6 Reinand 3.3. Menuhax is installed on my sysnand. But I have a few questions:

1. Should I uninstall menuhax first?
2. Once I've installed arm9loaderhax and put Reinand 3.3 and its arm9loaderhax.bin file on my SD card, my system should automatically boot into my emunand Reinand CFW right?
3. If I need to access my 9.2 sysnand for some reason. How would I do that after arm9loaderhax is installed?

Thanks

1. Better because u might get an error by booting up while holding L or u boot straight into hbl or cfw .
2. Setup Aureinand 3.6.1 runs verry smooth and yes it boots directly
3. With holding L on booting ul boot into sysnand

"1. Should I uninstall menuhax first?"
Doesn't matter either way.
"2. Once I've installed arm9loaderhax and put Reinand 3.3 and its arm9loaderhax.bin file on my SD card, my system should automatically boot into my emunand Reinand CFW right?"
With default settings yes.
"3. If I need to access my 9.2 sysnand for some reason. How would I do that after arm9loaderhax is installed?"
Button shortcut with a CFW that supports booting into sysnand like cakes or AuReiNand, a ReiNAND mod.

You will boot directly into emunand after a9lh. If you hold L on startup you will load sysnand/menuhax.

I have my menuhax setup to skip if holding R so if I want sysnand and not menuhax I hold L on startup for about 3 seconds and then hold R. It works great so now I can still use rxtools and gateway if I want.

EDIT: Quoted the wrong person. Sorry.

But I got rxTools up and running on a9lh ;)
