This is an announcement regarding the project status.
SkyeWelse is the graphic artist for this game. He is working on the mini-movies that are in the .itv files, that display the first time you enter each area and at the start of each boss fight. These files are challenging to work on because each of 50+ frames must be edited for each file. For reasons I can't discuss, the details of the tool used to edit .itv will not be discussed here, and I myself don't have access to the tool that is being used for this.
TLDR: The next patch won't be out for awhile.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank the GBAtemp users for helping me with bug testing, and especially those who reported any bugs. This project would be literally impossible without your help. I truly thank you. Thanks to your efforts, over 1,000 people have enjoyed the patch thus far.

It's us who should say thank you!

Could i spare this file in our Chinese game forum in your name and with your credit?

I think you mean share.

This is the internet- do what you like. That's 好きにしろ in Japanese, you might have heard that before.
I don't know Chinese or even your forum address, so I won't be able to read whatever you write, so I won't care anyway.

For foreign language translations, you'd need to manipulate the font. I don't have the first idea about how to do that.
And it would be useful for me to know, since all the Falcom PSP games appear to use the same SHIFT-JIS font, and various special characters would be useful for the Zero no Kiseki project (for character names).
Another thing is variable-width fonts. I only know MIPS basics. This game's VWF looks difficult to hack, according to people that know what they're doing. Nevermind. Chinese forum people won't care about variable-width hacking because their language is fixed-width. But definitely tell me about changing the font if there's any info over there.

I don't know why Chinese people would be interested in this. They should be able to learn Japanese easier than English...right?

For me, i dont learn Japanese until my university (as my second foreign langue ), now i can only read Jap books though i dont know what the books tell me..

That means i returned lots of my Japanese to my dear teacher (sorry for her..) . It said that we have many Japanese masters in China, but for me and for most

people, we studied English when we were child instead of Japanese.

The truth and disaster is,for so many people, we love the game badly but 《日本語をありません》 though in Japanese we can find some "Chinese" words

which is really helpless...

So you and your team's great work must provide us the funny with understanding the content of this great game.

Trust me, although you may not open a Chinese game link, i'll salute your name and team for my compatriots.

I thank you !

SkyeWelse completed one of them.
Check it out: Click here -> b005-50-frames.png <- Click here

That image is in a special PNG format. You need to be using Firefox as your browser to see it.

I don't have access to the tool that's used to do this.
It's time consuming to make these edits. I don't think SkyeWelse has the time to do them, so these animations will remain as-is for now. The programmer who made the tool doesn't want to release the tool that's used (for reasons unknown), and I'm not going to repeat their handle name here just so you can bug them about it.

There are about 30 of them to do. I don't think it's likely that they will ever be done.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can simply tell me what the options are in NG+ you get when selecting the astrolab in the sanctuary? I have the UMD version, and really would like it if I don't have to bother to DL the game again and apply the patch and all JUST to see 8 options on 1 screen near the end of the game.

https://i.imgur.com/jeg9Kik.jpg Check this screenshot I took with my camera if you don't know what I mean. It's gotten too hard to play for me and I think I made the enemies hard. I just want to know what these means if it's not that much trouble.

ng+ starts with all your previous skills, recipes, weapon, and pretty much everything you had except for some story items. your level is the same, but you can select a new difficulty.

Good afternoon, guys.

Firstly, I'd like to give you my most sincere thanks for translating (and doing all the other work it needs) this game. I've enjoyed it quite a bit and now I'm trying to complete a NG+.

Secondly, I just joined to ask if you would accept screenshots with text mistakes and such. That's the only thing I've noticed, some spelling errors, different names for the same thing, for example "Ruins drop phenomenon" vs "falling ruins phenomenon" (or something like that, I don't remember the exact wording). With Type-0, the team created a Google Docs to post the images and write where they were from. I suppose you would have done that already if you thought it would be a good idea, but still.

I don't know if you already edited it all and all the images I have are useless, but... well, I'm planning on playing the game until I get all the trophies, so if I can help you spot little things like these, I'll be glad to.

I also noticed the last message was posted on December 23rd, so forgive me if I'm replying to an old post or something like that.

I believe they have been working on the script in their free moments from my tyranny of Zero. (kidding). If you want to upload screenshots, go for it. You never know. They may have missed something.

That is strange. I don't personally use that CFW but can you check to see if it loads in PPSSPP? It may be a problem with the PSP but first let's cover our bases with the easiest option. If it loads with PPSSPP, then we will move forward trying to narrow down the problem.

So I tried using the xdelta patch to a downloaded ISO and running it on my PSP 6.61 LME with Infinity. The PSP turned off when the game got past the bootlogo.
I use Infinity with 6.61 LME, too, and had the same problem. I can assure you the patched game works for it, though. I dunno exactly what made it work, but here are my settings:
ISO mode - ME driver
Speed up MS access - Never
CPU speed (game) - Default
I also had plugins enabled, but I doubt those are relevant.

Unfortunately, I don't have a computer or Android device that meets PPSSPP's minimum requirements, but I'll try the post above me's settings.

EDIT: Switching to ME Driver let the game load fine, I'm starting a new game now.

I will let Flame know if he doesn't already. He did all the work on this game. I just offered tips for how to accomplish certain things.

Thank you for making it playable. I think the name of places and bosses are the only untranslated things.

I am in the After Story now. Unfortunately, there are no FAQs for this game. There are some purple crystals that I have not found.
