I just saw about how a guy has made a loader for the r4 and stuff last night and dug out my r4 to set everything up. I was a bit confused because it mentions that rxtools has the patches built in, was not sure if aureinand had them built in or not
L. Thanks for the reply ☺

Would I need to install on sysnand and emunand? Would be nice if I could just use emunand... Not overly fussed if I have to use sysnand as boot times with arm9loaderhax is not that long at all to switch between nands, having a loader for the r4 in emunand Would be perfect tho

cpasjuste is working on CtrBootManager9. Just wait. And you won't ever be able to run any 3dsx from arm9loaderhax... Why do you want to do that ?

Idk in my usual setup i have inside ctrbootmanager: reinand, minipasta (Wont need that one now), RxTools (never use), Homebrew (3dsx) Ftpd (ftpbrony just for convienice in boot) and finally reboot, and a cute pikachu in the bottom screen =P oh and i know i can run hbl from cia. but having it on boot with menuhax would make hbl run on 9.2 also i used to have decrypt ofc in ctrboot but that also works now on bootctr9

No... it wouldn't.
When you're in A9LH, you're not in any version. Not 9.2, not 10.6, nothing.
You're just running ARM9 code which has the ability to launch a firmware, one isn't yet running.
This is why D9 currently can't decrypt, why Cakes can't generate a firmkey.bin from cetk, etc.

Alright, I've got a new updater, but I need testers, preferably with a hardmodded n3ds that the old updater did not work for (either of the issues are acceptable, screen init not fully working, or just plain crashing and rebooting) anyone who meets these criteria please join us at #Cakey on freenode :)

I wasn't able to boot sysnand by holding L until just now. Every time I tried, it gave me the black "An error has occurred" screen. Finally, I tried holding L for just a second and it finally worked. Never got the error screen by holding R, even if I held it for the full 10 seconds until I got into sysnand. Any idea why this is the case? Doesn't matter much, but I'm curious.

Alright, thanks to @currowth for verifying this works on an n3ds that had the problem, same drill as the last one, stage0x5C000.bin and arm9loaderhax.bin on the root of the SD card, follow the instructions. Special thanks to bilis/b1l1s for his super handy arm9 library :)

Does this do anything different for o3ds or is this just a newer version for the people that was having problems?
