You're not supposed to decrypt the update files... You're only supposed to download them and place just the files, not the folder, onto your SD card inside of an /install/ folder.

And if you're on 5.4, then you need to use the other version of WUPinstaller I posted here.

So i used the wiiubrew site , did kernal then Wup installer on that site... i had to put game disc in . missed that step ! never seen anyone say you need the disc in etc

@VinsCool i had this issue using crediars wup installer i had to self host and install that way...i got that install ok error and wanted to just end it lol

Noob question. So let's say 5.5.2 being released, how to update the firm-spoof to 5.5.2? I meant how to update firm-spoof from 5.5.0 last time when 5.5.1 is released?

00050010-10041000 is the NUSGrabber ID for the "version.bin". You just need to NUSGrab the newest version when it comes out and install it with wupinstaller.

Is formatting system Okay with spoofing? Or is there a way to undo spoofing?

Now that I think about it... My Wii U is still Spoofed to 5.5.0U and not 5.5.1U, and I still have online access, seems 5.5.1U update is not obligatory (And yes, I have eShop too), I only hope Nintendo don't ban any console from this, The first day EmuNAND is out I will play online using that

...
EDIT: Would be more safe to spoof to 5.5.1U to prevent any possible ban?... I think it would be the same that staying spoofed in 5.5.0U, but I ask this just to be sure.

Undo Spoofing is not possible, WUPInstaller only updates titles but it can't downgrade them, Factory Reset will delete everything you have, but the spoof will still be there.

Spoofed 5.5.1 on my 5.3.2 console fine 3rd time after using self host method.

Question: I run self hosted update remover via wiiubru zip and it appears to do nothing... What should it do and how do I know it's worked?

Also: does NUSgrabber grab eshop games? I don't think it does, but just wanted to be clear.

NUSgrabber will grab eshop games, but there's no way for you to install them currently as they don't come with a .tik file. You can download eshop game updates though and install them.

If you plan to use a disc version of the game, I can't imagine there being an issue. For eshop version, I dunno. worth a try, at worst it just won't work, no worries about bricking or anything.

It is, but now it installs the update without problems.
