I'm on a N3DS firmware 10.5.0-30 U playing the downloaded eShop version of Pokemon X with patch 1.5. My save file recently became corrupt, and I've been trying to revert to an older save I have. I used the secure value patcher with a new save file to try to fix the problem of the old file being corrupted, yet I still got the corruption message. Can anyone lead me in the right direction to be able to fix this for myself, or is anyone willing to help me out? I do own an original 3DS as well in case I'm not able to do this on a N3DS.

From my understanding your corrupted save has a "newer version number" than your backup.

And you can't "downgrade" your save.

So try making a new game save on Pokemon x and then replacing the game save.

Sorry if my original post was confusing, but that is what I have done. I created a new save file, and using the secure value patcher, I tried to fix the corrupted file so it could work with the new file's secure value. I put that one on my SD card and got the same message as the original corruption. If I'm not understanding what you're saying, please let me know.

Sorry. I thought you meant you had a backup file of your original save before it corrupted. A corrupted save is a corrupted save. No way to fix it as far as I know.

I can try to fix it for you. Give me like 10 minutes and I'll have your file pm'd back to you (pmimg so no ome else can use it if it works)

so the first problem is you are trying to use an encrypted .sav file. if you are using homebrew, can you dump the corrupt file with svdt? It will make my fixing process much easier

No, I'm sorry. I just used vanilla saves. If there is anything you need from me to make it easier, I understand. If you aren't able or unwilling to do it, I understand as well. Thanks for trying though.

if you set up homebrew through the web browser on your 3ds, you can use a app called svdt, all it does is decrypt your save file when you dump it. it'll still be "vanilla" but instead of being dumped as .sav it will dump it as "main", which is whats needed to do what I think may fix it since I have cfw on my 3ds.

sorry i wasnt able to get to my pc until now. Your save is not corrupt. I am viewing it in pkhex right now and the app says that everything is fine. I just need to delete your secure values from the save and then you should be able to import it to you game and use it with no issues

Deleted file for proper owners sake of not having the save banned (if possible).

No. SAV files taken from the Nintendo 3DS folder can't be used as they're encrypted with a NAND specific hash.
