ive read and re read all the guides i can see and most if not all say to reset game db and format console.. im just panicking about doing the downgrade incase I lose the pokemon saves... the rest of the games I dont mind replaying through..

which guides did you use. im currently on 10.3 N3ds(EU) - so which would the process be to keep it all there but have it all on an emunand..

the CFW has major advantages for me but I just dont want to lose my stuff.

want to pm me some links to the guides and other (files) needed?
edited: I have a 32gb sd in there so that should be enough space right

I succesfully installed FBi through Menuhax
but when i try to install legit .cia for Luigi's Mansion 2 I got this:

No. Legit CIA can only be installed from 9.3 to 10.3 without using custom firmware.

10.4 fixed the vulnerability.

I doubt any further work has been put into this considering 10.4 fixed the vulnerability and most of the people that wanted to do so have already downgraded to 9.2 where they can install whatever they want.

Sorry im new to this shit just picked up a o3ds with 10.5. Is there a way to downgrade to 9.2 from 10.5?

@DutchyDutch you should put these in the OP so people know they have the right files.

Yeah you basically need 2 qualifications:
1) The screen should show "Step 1:" then a bunch of things, and the last line should say "Done."
2) You need to be able to press A on this screen once Done is shown to take you to the actual FBI menu. Sometimes Done will show but FBI will be frozen and pressing A will do nothing
If you get to the FBI menu without done, in my experience the CIA installations will just fail. Just keep rebooting until you get it to work. If it helps, I booted into FTPBrony first then exited that with L+R+B+Down then opened FBI. Also I'd advise you to install as many CIAs as you want the first time, cause if you end up wanting to add more later it'll be a hassle getting FBI to work again.

Did not work on menuhax but I tried it on OOThax and it just says
