Yayzors! I excpected a release around FE: Fates' release date, but actually THAT early in Februrary?
I'll happily buy it for the WiiU-Version, cuz Smash brought me tons of fun for a load of hours and this will imrpove it even more.
At first I was like: "Yay! Bayonetta!" and "Ok, Corrin is cool, I guess?" but after playing through the first 6 chapters of Fates, I am rather hyped for Corrin, as well.
Still a little salty about Snake, but oh well. Maybe it helps to forget, what a piece of gutter trash PP was and how badly Kojima-san was treated.

You might have snake back if a project m version of smash bros 4 is ever made.
I feel the same way if I understand what you're saying correctly. I feel like because there was so much time to work on Corrin and Bayonetta, they are so much more interesting than all of the other characters. Like, Mario just punch and kicks and uses fire balls, Link just uses his sword, and a bow&arrow. Meanwhile, Corrin uses his sword which is like a chainsaw, and also transforms into a dragon. His moves are so interesting and complex, like the side special that sticks them in the ground. And Bayonetta has Witch time, and she has crazy amazing looking combos, and can keep shooting after any attack. After you see them, then look back at the non-DLC roster, it makes everyone else seem so simplistic.
On the one hand, sweet, Smash DLC is always welcome. My 3DS is due for a lot of attention this month, what with this, Fire Emblem, Bravely Second, maybe that new Final Fantasy Explorers if it's on sale or something (I hear it gets boring pretty fast), Legend of Legacy and whatever else the eShop throws at me.
On the other hand, I'd actually have appreciated a small delay. Due to the reasons above my bank balance is due to be abused so hard it'll need to go into protective police custody. Give me a bit of time to recover, damn it.

So, basically 35 euros or £32 gets you ALL the characters, new stage and music for one platform while 42 euro or £38 allows you to have it on both 3DS and Wii U. What a shame that because I got Mewtwo for free because I bought both 3DS/Wii U Smash, I probably can't buy this bundle.

Indeed that's in part what I meant. Not only are they visually more flashy... they can combo more, they abilities deal more damage and have crazy range. They seem rather op to be honest
we'll have to wait and see.
I'm incredibly ecstatic for this dlc to launch. I don't think either will be broken. Bayo may be top tier, but I don't suspect she'll be better than Shiek or ZSS. Corrin will probably be the best swordsman, but at most A Tier. I do hope corrin is randomly s tier though
The bundle isn't even cheaper than if you got them individually anyway, just more convenient. Unless I'm missing something.
No way past it. You have to update to use the eshop if you're on 5.5, so you'll need to go to 5.5.1 for the DLC.

What do you like to play?
Cloud
A very strong Character with a loadable "Limit" ability, which can power up a move for one time before it must be loaded again. Not a combo type. Up-B is worse then Shulk, so no risky air games out of the stages.
Corrin
A character with some moves from the Fire Emblem sword bunch, but some new and great attacks as well. Up-B is great as attack and rescue attack. He/She has a nice range attack which stuns the enemy a bit too. And there is a nice piercing attack for attack and defensive moves. He/She feels a bit weird in air for me, but one will get used to it. Haven't played that much with the character yet though.
Bayonetta
A very combo heavy fighter, especially in the air. All her moves are compatible to each other and can lead into the next move. To get on stage again it will need some time to learn how she works. Smash attacks are slow, but powerful. Witch Time, which is a counter, is one of her greatest moves. She plays herself very similar to the games.
