i'm running emunand via reinand on an n3ds, but i have a gateway blue i want to use for ds carts. what's the process for that? do i need to install the gateway software and boot that every time i want to play ds games? can i do that alongside my current setup, and just point boot manager to gateway?
When Updating the Red Cart, do you need to be connected to the Internet, or does it Update from the Launcher.dat?
Could you elaborate on what steps you went through to get this to work in a N3DS? I've been using the oot save on my 9.0e N3DS, and it's pretty obnoxious.
Get Gardening Mama - Forrest Friends, or Cooking Mama, or if you can find it, Super Smash Bros (Rev 02). 9.2 FW Update
But if i upgrade with a game Gardening mama or Cooking Mama, will enable internet browser on my console or it will just update the firmware to 9.2 which is not enought to run gateway card?
Gateway works with all FWs up to 9.2 . Meaning anything below 9.2 should work. Also would need the MSET to get back the DS Profile Exploit from 4.5 FW
Dont undarstand, gateway doesnt work because i dont have an internet browser to launch homebrew.
Can use the Legend of Zelda Game to boot it, go into GW Mode with the Menu, Load Classic Mode, run CIA Installer, run the MSET and should be good. Least I think that is how it was done. Someone confirm this?

Ordered a refurb 3DS XL from Nintendo. It came with 8.1 sysnand.
Is it possible to set up the Gateway to work with this? Maybe even downgrade to 4.* ? Restore my other systems' emuNAND onto it? Would that work?
Trying to see if it's possible to swap the board in successfully, but my first attempt rendered where it would power on and then immediately back off.
It's been a while since I've looked into any of this, so pardon my newbishness. As you can tell, pretty much been happy with my prior 3DS XL that had 4.4 sysnand up until its top screen got fubar. While the obvious plan A is to get the (now old) motherboard working in the new shell, I want to have a gameplan if in case I cannot do that.

You can still use Gateway. Just follow their MSET Trick to get back the DS Exploit

I'm fairly certain I'm putting the right files (HBL starter pack, and the GW folder from the gateway 3.7.1 zip into the 3ds folder) at the right places and then I use the QR code or enter the web address to start the installation. After, I click the slidebar and then I get an error popup, saying how I need to restart the system.
I'm on 9.2 for sysnand and that's where I'm trying to install this
Can I get some help at this? I've tried looking all over.

How does the MSET work? I just worry that it requires buying a game to launch the 'sploit like so many on an N3DS seem to require.
Follow Gateway's Instructions with the latest Release as it still contains the MSET

Edit: NOTE, you need a way to boot into it. Either with Cubic Ninja, or Legend of Zelda: OoT

I wonder. Would it be possible to run the installer via my DStwo cart? That would be way easier for me than trying to find a copy of either of those games for use with that board. :o
