ROM Hack Final Fantasy Explorers - Gateway Cheats Not Mine

Hello all. Not sure if anyone is aware, but at http://www.maxconsole.com/maxcon_forums/threads/293116-Final-Fantasy-Explorers-(U), there's FFEX GW cheats being worked on. Here's a compilation of what the thread has thus far that appears to be working for multiple people. The game uses dynamic addresses, so these may or may not work for you, but seems that other people have had success. If they don't work, reboot and try again. Refer to that thread for more info.

*I DO NOT TAKE ANY CREDIT FOR THESE CHEATS!!! AND NO GUARANTEE THAT THEY WILL WORK, BUT THERE HAS BEEN POSITIVE FEEDBACK!!* I also have not tried any of these yet (I will later tonight maybe).

Another note, do not activate these cheats while travelling. Activate, Save, Disable, and re-enter game. Have fun!

How would one use these, with the NTR plugin? I've no clue of how i'd use them with gateway haha

These are only compatible with GW and not NTR unfortunately. Here's some quick instructions on how to use them from the GW website (http://www.gateway-3ds.com/)

HOW TO USE CHEATS
=================

1. Simply copy the folder “cheats” into the root of your microSD card that will go into the Gateway RED card.
Each file inside the cheats folder will be of the format <TitleID>.txt where TitleID is the title id of the game.

2. Boot into Gateway mode, and press SELECT to make the Gateway game selection menu appear.

3. Select your game and then press Y to enter cheat mode.

4. Enable the cheats you want and then press START to load the game.
CHEAT CODE FORMAT

The GATEWAY 3DS cheatcode format is based on the old ActionReplay DS
code format, the one you all know and love! We added some code types
for your convenience as well!

Hm, I did as you said, but no cheat menu is popping up, what's the usa game i.d, just to be safe and make sure i got the right one

I just realised I have gateway v 3.4 , and cheats seem to be 3.5, but i dont see the download for 3.5.. urrgh

Those are old instructions. Check the newest manual on the GW site. Also, as far as I know the memory locations floated for items (at least every time I go to find them on a game reload)

Is there a way i can go from 3.4 to 3.5 though? I heard the "betas" are kinda buggy so i think that's why i never updated from 3.4

Sorry I didn't see your msg when I was composing mine lol. I've had no issues with the betas personally, but you'll just need to put the "LAUNCHER.dat" file of the version you wish to update to, on the root of your SD/mSD card (the one that's internally in your 3DS system), then boot to the GW menu (I use the profile method, and then hold down the L trigger. Your mileage may vary depending on what CFW you use)

are you on the old or new3ds? i'm using a N3DS, is the 3.7 okay with the n3ds so far?

ALL the Gateway releases are "Beta". It's perfectly fine with all versions of 3DS/2DS.

What Sony said. I have a N3DS and the newest update (whatever it is - 3.7.1? Just guessing) works flawlessly

Here are 2 quotes from 2 different people regarding this code:

"The code patches for 512 items, but I only found less than 30 Items in the game without using the code"
"As for the items you get all the potion type items,the phoenix down AND phoenix pinion and all the stat type potions(The red drink icons)"

I personally haven't tried it just yet but I will when I get off

The [Atmaliths and Magicites] code posted above brakes the game, I have to force restart my n3ds.. but I confirm Materials 1 and 2 working 99 everything.. its nice to watch.. Materials 3 brakes the game as well.
