Their top priority was to patch MemChunkHax2, and that's really easy to understand, for obvious reasons. Why wouldn't Nintendo patch this yet?
Downgrading (on 9.3-10.3) relies on MemChunkHax2, which was patched in 10.4.Does that mean we can downgrade 10.4 systems or does downgrading rely on other exploits?

No, Memchunkhax was fixed.Does that mean we can downgrade 10.4 systems or does downgrading rely on other exploits?
BrowserHax works just fine in my O3DS with 10.4 without cfw via sysnand.
Im using the starter homebrew and making a qr code from: http://yls8.mtheall.com/spider28hax.php
so, give it a shot
On old3ds Browserhax would have still worked because the browser wasn't updated, and thus only new payloads were needed to work (which browserhax automatically downloads)Browserhax worked for me on 10.4 last week. It took about 5 tries but it still worked. And OOThax worked on the first try. Menuhax didn't work for me though. I'm gonna try the new version.
They only needed to patch Memchunkhax2, because people were getting $20+ games for free using legit cias. They don't really care about homebrew, but they sometimes need to step in when things get out of hand. Why wouldn't Nintendo patch this yet?
While I agree with you mostly, Nintendo actually cares a lot about homebrew. Their major worry was the kernel exploit, but Nintendo hates homebrew. Which is funny because their systems are usually the most exploitable for homebrew. They only needed to patch Memchunkhax2, because people were getting $20+ games for free using legit cias. You think by now they would change their coding to make it less susceptible to hacking. At least we got entry points for when a new kernel exploit is foundWhile I agree with you mostly, they Nintendo actually cares a lot about homebrew. When Ironhax became available, they removed it because people were also using the kernel exploit to download cias. Smea and Yellows8 made a workaround on the kernel exploit for 10.3, but it was much more unstable. While I agree with you mostly, they Nintendo actually cares a lot about homebrew. As long as you have the 10.4 payload installed, yes. I don't think they're ever going to be able to patch Ninjhax and Oot3dhax.Does cubic ninja still work?
Firstly, memchunkhax was fairly stable on 10.3 (near the end of it's life). The only thing I've seen that was unstable about it was the poorly patched FBI software. NASA and sysUpdater both worked very well on old3ds 10.3, where I would get near-100% boot for them. Also Smealum did not develop memchunkhax2, the version that 10.3 used. Smea has specifically stated he only works in userland because he wants nothing to do with giving people the ability to pirate. I believe he did help find the exploit though. When Ironhax became available, they removed it because people were also using the kernel exploit to download cias.
