Saw on twitter a few minutes ago. Literally JUST in time for my 3DS to come back from Nintendo (with 10.4 most likely installed). When I downgraded it I had to format my 3ds so all my saves and stuff were gone, but I backed my saves up and was worried I wouldn't be able to get them back for a while since I wouldn't be able to inject my saves back without homebrew.

In short, really happy right now.

Browserhax worked for me on 10.4 last week. It took about 5 tries but it still worked. And OOThax worked on the first try. Menuhax didn't work for me though. I'm gonna try the new version.

if Browserhaxnot working for you
try and reset the browser's save data
reload the browser and set it up
then try and load Browserhax

remember Browserhax is good as a base exploit to install memuhax or ootHax

I really love how whenever anything is updated to work on 10.4, people always go "So can I downgrade 10.4"
No, the main purpose of the update from what we can tell is to patch memchunkhax and ironhax. Memchunkhax was the kernel exploit used from 9.3-10.3 that allowed an app running in userland (loading from HBL) to gain kernel access. This kernel access is necessary for downgrading and installing any legit CIA. Because that was patched, 10.4 CAN'T downgrade, nor can it install any legit cia file. And they obviously just got tired of the shenanigans with Ironfall and completely blocked that from even running unless you update. Which no, there isn't a fix for that, and probably won't be because of how it works (likely would need kernel access to bypass, if there were even to be a way to bypass).
So until a new kernel exploit is found (if one ever is found) you can't downgrade from 10.4.

Also you need to download the latest version of menuhax in order to have compatibility on 10.4. Download it here.

On old3ds Browserhax would have still worked because the browser wasn't updated, and thus only new payloads were needed to work (which browserhax automatically downloads)

Why wouldn't Nintendo patch this yet?
They only needed to patch Memchunkhax2, because people were getting $20+ games for free using legit cias. They don't really care about homebrew, but they sometimes need to step in when things get out of hand.

While I agree with you mostly, Nintendo actually cares a lot about homebrew. Their major worry was the kernel exploit, but Nintendo hates homebrew. Which is funny because their systems are usually the most exploitable for homebrew.

You think by now they would change their coding to make it less susceptible to hacking. At least we got entry points for when a new kernel exploit is found

When Ironhax became available, they removed it because people were also using the kernel exploit to download cias. Smea and Yellows8 made a workaround on the kernel exploit for 10.3, but it was much more unstable.

Firstly, memchunkhax was fairly stable on 10.3 (near the end of it's life). The only thing I've seen that was unstable about it was the poorly patched FBI software. NASA and sysUpdater both worked very well on old3ds 10.3, where I would get near-100% boot for them. Also Smealum did not develop memchunkhax2, the version that 10.3 used. Smea has specifically stated he only works in userland because he wants nothing to do with giving people the ability to pirate. I believe he did help find the exploit though.
Also let me ask you this. If they didn't care about homebrew, why would they bother blocking ironhax if they already patched the kernel exploit? Because it only affects 10.4, so if you update to it, you no longer have access to the kernel. So if nintendo really didn't care about homebrew, and only cared about the kernel exploit, they wouldn't have bothered to implement a whole new system with which they can block certain apps from running without first getting an update.
