Hi everyone,

My Sky3DS came today and I've noticed something odd about the cycling on mine. Sometimes, when I press the left or right cycle, it will go blank like there is no cartridge for 2 or 3 seconds, then the same game will appear (mainly happens with SMT IV and AC:NL). Does this happen to anyone else?

Also, I had something odd happen with Triforce Heroes. I started it up, saved, edited the config file to put in my private header, then tried to get online, and got the 002 something error. Then, I opened up the .sav for it with HxD and this showed up:

33 44 53 5F 53 41 56 45 20 3B 56 45 52 3D 30 20
FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF

I think that the first row is the new standard for saving for Sky plus, but then I put my private header where the FF pairs were, and then I was able to connect to the internet with the game. Will I have to do this for new game I put on with a new save? For my others, I didn't have this issue because I already had backup save2 from diskwriter.

Also, my Zelda ALBW sav isn't working, but all my others do. Also, Pokemon Sapphire won't even show up when I cycle through my games...so weird.

Sorry for the long post, still getting used to everything.

ok lets try a few things in order

1. Update your sky cart to v110
2. Try again - no change?
3. Backup your games and formart your sd card with sdformatter
4. Try again, same?
5. Try another sd card. ( make sure to format it with sdformatter.

So everything is fixed except my Zelda sav working. I didn't have to reformat or anything, it just started working correctly. I have a 16gb card.

This is probably common knowledge, but I'll write it out to help anyone else if they have issues with online and saving:

When you first play a game, a .sav and a .cfg file are created for that game. The .cfg file will have will be blank on the GAMESAVE_KEY line. This is where you put your private header. BUT, to play online, both your .cfg and .sav have to have the same private header. You can do one of two things:

1. Open up new .sav file and notice the FF pairs. You need to put your private header in their place, then you can go online, as it will match the private header in your .cfg file.

33 44 53 5F 53 41 56 45 20 3B 56 45 52 3D 30 20
FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF <---- Replace FF pairs with private header!

2. The other option is to delete the .sav, NOT the .cfg for the game, and start it again. When the new .sav is formed, it will already contain your private header in the second row from the .cfg file.

The reason you have to do this (I think) is because the .cfg private header overrides the FF pairs in the .sav, however, when you start a game for the first time, there is no private header in the .cfg to put into the .sav, so that is why you have to do all these steps.

If anyone can put this more elegantly and maybe make it a sticky, it would help a lot of people, I think.
