OMG...I feel like a total idiot! *face palm*...here I was trying link after link getting nothing but freezes and thinking "this is for 5.4.0, this should work! I am on 5.4.0!"....Went to check my settings....THAT is when I realized I was on 5.5.0 :/

Before I try again I am trying to install the smash bros update, it's stuck on the black error screen (which worked for installing the spoof last time), so it should be fine just to leave it on this screen for 20 minutes to make sure it's installing, correct?

So what do I have to do for updated versions of free software like YouTube/Netflix? Can I install the new version of those directly through the eShop as they don't provide proper tickets when you try to download them with NUSgrabber, unlike normal game updates?
If you cant download these apps via nusgrabber you can get the updates via eshop - yes.
You need to spoof 5.5.1 and run nnu patcher.
I'm not sure what about tubehax and urlblocking. I guess you have to unblock them to get inside the eshop.
Afaik you can do only one download/update at a time.
If the blocked firmware is the first in your download order restart the console and it should download the update because the firmware download needs a while to start.
Thats all theoretically because I keep my Wii offline and I didn't test it.
Pls read the threads to wupinstaller/ spoof and nnu patcher to be sure about this.
Perhaps people should create MP4 hack packs for local hosting. Perhaps if someone can maintain a MP4 pack I can write a tutorial on easy local hosting to exploit a 5.4.0 - 5.5.0 console and just link to this pack that is maintained.
There'd be a colossal amount of work involved because Loadiine uses a ton of hardcoded addresses or something, which assume it's 5.3.2, so for now it's not feasible. v5 would resolve this issue and make it firmware independent (assuming one had a userspace and kernel exploit for that firmware), but no release date is set in stone right now.

But there is already a loadiine payload binary on wj44.ml? The only reason it doesn't work with 5.4.0 is because it hasn't been made to work with 5.4 address' which are the same as 5.3.2. That elf I linked should work on 5.4
The only issue for loadiine v4 currently is a libcurl issue that is being worked on. I have compiled a version that I think resolves the issue but my tester went to sleep and I didn't have it compiled to run using the stagefright, whenever my tester wakes up we can start testing again. @dimok is also working and will probably beat me to it :-D But he is also sleeping so we'll see!
