I will repeat if again: community isn't the reason why he stopped working on this.

He knew it was useless to continue because the update is released Monday/Tuesday. He didn't have enough time, because of unexpected events IRL (and I have unique bugs, which are unknown). KTM was being beta-tested. Most of things to do were to fix bugs.
Then he blamed the community, because the community started to hate him for that choice.
(https://twitter.com/Elmoteachesgame/status/685960107369316354 and seriously, I think that some people were right about the 9 years-old on the 3DS forums)

Sure is unfortunate that it turned out that way. Unlike a few others here, I decided to believe him and was looking forward to KTM (though I got impatient and downgraded once it appeared no o3ds users who knew what they were doing got bricked). I still do believe JustPingo wasn't lying about his projects, but it's unfortunate that he's been unable to deliver multiple times now and will be probably not have the trust of a lot of the people here anymore.

It would be more believable if he hadn't failed to deliver twice before. Like the person who posted before you said, you should have a project nearly finished before announcing anything - you don't want lots of people knowing about a project that ultimately fails.

I thought the guy has done the same thing before. Its whatever though, SysUpdater works for most of us. What sucks is the people that wasted their time waiting for this. Now they have to go back to SysUpdater with less time than before to get their downgrades in. Atleast he didnt wait till next week Monday to announce something like this, so give him that

Or, you know, instead of being in such a massive rush to downgrade people could fucking WAIT for stable tools so they don't have to worry about soft-bricks and updating back to 10.3 to start over.

If 10.4 releases Tuesday and patches the mch2 hole (which it probably will), that doesn't magically mean no one can downgrade again. It just means you have to sit your fucking asses on 10.3 and wait for a proper update to fbi and sysupdater that use completed mch2 code instead of the rushed, incomplete, versions we have now.

edit:

Also, 90% of the random ass problems we are seeing flood the forum at the moment are not the result of noob idiocy. They are because of those very same shoddy tools that people have been using. I am 99% certain that no one that downgrades from 10.3 is actually ending up on a clean 9.2. Every single one of them is ending up with a franken-firmware because from what I can see of the sysupdater code it only deletes the title if its in the downgrade pack. So if you go from 10.3 to 9.2 you have no less than 8 titles that are left over from 10.3, still on your system

Because of your reputation? Isn't it better to be known for one awesome project that did something amazing for the community and came out soon after announcement and had everybody cheering, than be known for four projects, of which three were failures, and now you're known as the guy that can't follow through on anything and whose projects are all bogus? Instead of being only known for something great, so you always get support when embarking on a new project?

Basically if your rep is that you follow through with your ideas with a plan, people are going to want to collaborate with you because they want to be part of a great project, if you're known for great and successful projects. If you have the rep that you only do things half-heartedly or you don't think things through and make proper plans before beginning a project, people aren't going to want to collaborate because it's a huge waste of their effort to spend hours or days or weeks on something that was always destined to never see the light of day.

First off, I agree 100% with you that this is how things SHOULD work. Don't post or announce shit unless you are ready to deliver it. The only time I can see an exception being made is like with the 5.5.0 IOSU thing for the Wii U, where it benefits the community to be told "Hey there is definitely something in the works for this FW, so make dame sure you don't update." In this case though we already knew stuff was coming for 10.3 so we already knew not to update.

That said, in his defense, the general trend in these scenes is for people to post about how they are working on this or that and show it off as they work. We see it all the time with groups like SALT. It sucks, but the trend already exists unfortunately.

I pretty much expected this to happen, with all of the delays and such. Even with your reasoning on cancelling it, this will be, what, the 3rd thing you haven't delivered on @JustPingo? Not saying you weren't working on it, but it just seems like you have a habit of announcing things and getting people hyped when you never actually release anything. I'd still like to support you in the future, but this all makes you look really uncredible.

Internet Idiots will always exist sadly, not using you twitter account for a week is also a quick solution to the problem maybe ? (or maybe I'm just too old to understand)

If u get all files and cias in place relax and Know 1% Of What's going on u could absolutely downgrade successfully.
I downgraded 2 O3dss 1 o3dsxl and a 2ds first try. Tux's built
