Sounds like you didn't set your system up properly yet.

"No database" means that the SD title database hasn't been created, I believe. You'll need to download something (even a demo) from the eShop, or do the trick where you create empty "title.db" and "import.db" files in "/Nintendo 3DS/<id0>/<id1>/dbs/" on your SD card, open "Data Management -> Nintendo 3DS -> Software" in System Settings, and let it repair the files.
Have you done that title.db step and unlinked nands yet?

well emunand has dbs but sysnand does not cause i unlinked them and the sysnands 9.2 so i cannot download an eshop game
2. In your SD card, there should be a Nintendo 3DS folder. Open it, and open the folder inside that (has a long name of random numbers and letters); that is your Sysnand's ID folder.

If there are two or more ID folders, then do the following steps for both folders. One folder belongs to your 3DS. If there is another similar folder, it probably belongs to another 3DS that you inserted your SD card into. Ignore the "private" folder if there is one.

There should be another folder within, so open that too. You should now see an "extdata" folder. If you don't see a "dbs" folder as well, download this zip folder and put the "dbs" folder beside the extdata folder.

*Again, if the dbs folder already exists, and you have a title.db and import.db file inside, do not replace them!

Should look similar to this

3. Boot the 3DS/2DS and go into Settings —> Data Management —> Software. It’ll ask to reset or repair your software management information or sd card, so allow it to do so. Again, you do NOT have to do this if you already had the dbs folder and the two files inside your SD card.
Quoted from the rxtools install tutorial.

Of course in your situation it's a bit different since you are doing this after installing emunand you will have two folders.

Did you try the color restoration patch I mentioned?
http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/2124/
That asks for a specific Eur dump of the game, though I did find using my own dump to work fine as well.
As I've mentioned my color restored version is working fine, I'd suggest trying that dump.

ok I did what you said jaksy :) I track downloaded the cezar rom and used the color patch and this is what I have been getting for Super Mario Advance even with said color patch :(

https://www.dropbox.com/s/mrd4cfg2g12i8rk/IMG_20160107_215941.jpg?dl=0

I've been getting that with both the US and EU roms grrrrrr :(

Any ideas to fix this?
Does that prompting actually interfere with you actually playing and saving the title?
A corrupted data message isn't uncommon for working VC injects even after hex editing, and can often be safely ignored.
The topic I linked with the SMA4 patch when asked about editing the hex for the Mario games someone queried how to fix it if
The string for the pokemon games (D0 88 8D 83 42) is not present in Super Mario Advance 4
to which they were told
The hex string in Super Mario Advance 4 is D0 08 8D etc.
As you can see there's a strong similarity between the hex values that need to be changed, so it shouldn't be too hard to identify them in SMA1 if editing it is what you desire.
See this tutorial about the pokemon hex edit fix for an example of what you are looking for and what you are trying to do.

As I said even after editing it you still may be prompted that the save is corrupt, in which case I'd suggest ignoring unless saving isn't actually working.

I took a quick look for the string to hex edit and it isn't immediately obvious such as in some other games, I also tried running it through an sram patcher, and that doesn't seem to help either, so I'm unsure how I arrived at my working results.

In this case there is a reported working built cia titled "Super.Mario.Advance.GBA.VC.USA-EUROPE.CTR-N-AMAE.ID0A105-3DS.cia" floating around on a certain other site.
It'd probably be best to just mark this one up as a troublesome inject and grab this version that someone prefixed for you.

The only title I've found unable to work in any real fashion so far is Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo.
All my injects from various dumps crash (just sit on black) right after showing the Capcom logo, and all cia's floating around on the internet I've found seem to do the same.
If anyone achieves different results in this game in particular, please let me know.
As this was originally an arcade cabinet game, I'm unsure if this version of the game is a remake, port, compatibility layer or emulation of another version, but if it's a port or emulation that might explain the crashing as soon as it passes the Capcom logo and tries to load the actual game.

Actually for that matter has anyone tried those gba emulators in injects, like the NES classic releases on GBA? I wonder if they'd have similar issues.

I didn't give you a phrase you could google to find it, I just merely hinted at the location so you can find it on your own if you are interested.

I've already told you it can be found on a certain other forum that's notorious for distributing copywritten files.
If you're having trouble finding it there, I can tell you the cia build I'm referring to in particular was created, uploaded, and distributed by a user known as davhuit there.
I tried the link in his topic this morning and installed it myself. It seemed to run fine, but I didn't actually play into it with saving and reloading my save file.
