Howdy folks

We´ve seen the rise of this new downgrading business and also the ability to install legit CIAs on 9.3 up FWs, now, i have some questions...

If I downgrade, I would lose my MH4U savegame? the SD backup is not available for that

Say I install a game from a legit CIA, can I import a Sky3ds savegame to it, on 10.3?

Can a legit CIA for anothe rregion be installed and ran through RegionFour?

The biggest...Downgrade Now or wait for KTM? (O3ds user)

Thank you

Righto, First off I do believe saves are infact stored on the game cart of mh4u and not on the 3ds system. You can make/restore save data using Savedatafiler, however I'm not entirely sure if it would work with Sky3ds. You can run legit cia's from a different region with hans, however some games do not work properly when launched that way. Lastly, it depends. As far as I know, the only thing KTM does is eliminate most chances for user-enabled mistakes. The actual process would still be just as risky as if you used the current tool. If you're feeling like you can properly read instructions and such I'd say go for it, however both tools will not be entirely safe.

if you have a mh4u cartridge... then your character data will be saved on the cartridge... but items sets and equipment sets are saved on the sd card... any armor you have equipped will be unequipped.. however your items will still be available you'll just have to redo your item sets and equipment sets

if you have a digital copy of mh4u.. everything is on the sd card

MH4U Cartridge = Actual SaveData held on the Cart itself
Guild Cards, Unregistered Guild Quests, Item/Equipment Sets, DLC Quests are on ExtData.

MH4U Digital/.cia = Actual SaveData in "user" on SaveDataFiler
Guild Cards, Unregistered Guild Quests, Item/Equipment Sets, DLC Quests are on ExtData.

In my opinion, downgrade now before 10.4 comes out. We dont know forsure if KTM will have a 100% chance of successful downgrade. In the case that it still softbricks or gives you an incomplete downgrade, you wont be able to re-update back to a clean 10.3 and try again, since the Big N servers are going to be pushing out the 10.4 update.

My mh4u is digital. I have way more than 100 hours on it. I want to downgrade but i would like to backup the save.

The sky3ds copy is on my wifes 3ds. If possible i would like to install a cia and facilitate to her.
