Meeh! I'm sure once that KTM comes out and the scene gets a bunch more newbies such guides will be available.
There's already a lot of noobs due to the fact that you can downgrade from 10.3 now.

Trying to install US region DLC on a legit US eShop version of Sm4sh.
Install goes well enough, but none of the characters, stages, costumes ever show up.
Kind of stuck and not sure what to do at this point. Any ideas?

I GOT IT! Never thought it would work but... all you have to do is export the savedata AND the secure value (don't need to delete it) of the save you want to backup and then import them both into the cia installed game on your other Emunand. Worked like a charm. Derp.
Steps: (this assumes you only have 0 other save files extracted.
1. Open savedatafiler on the emunand with the games save you want to backup.
2. Go to the titleid of the game (check http://www.3dsdb.com/) and hit R+Y and then accept.
3. Hit Y and then accept.
4. Remove SD and put into computer and copy the "filer" folder to desktop.
5. Insert SD card for the OTHER emunand you want to import the save to.
6. Copy filer folder to root.
7. Insert in 3DS, start it up, and load savedatafiler in emunand.
8. Go to SD tab and there should be 2 options: one labeled "user" and one labeled "secure"
9. I selected and imported "secure" first and then did the "user" (which is the actual save data).
10. Load up cia game and see if it works.
I was on 10.3 (n3ds) and I have backed up my saves through the home menu option.
Now I am on 9.2 sys and 9.5 emunand, but what to do with my save files? My games are now on emunand and when I put those old saves in their appropriate titleid folders and restore it through the system options I get an error that save file is corrupted.
What to do?
I'm sorry mate. You changed the nand, so its like its not the same console, you'd of have to have used something like SVDT to keep those. They'll be corrupt forever! I lost my monster hunter 4u data this way, so I feel your pain.
Why don't you just use menuhax with CTRbootmanager instead?so, my cousin has messed up with my user name from the sysnand and now the DS profile exploit stopped working. The screen freezes and the following error pop up: "an error has occurred. forcing the software to close. the system will now restart." instead of running rxtools. I've already tried putting the user name back (to match the one on the emunand) to no avail. Now the only way to access rxtools is from the browser, and I want the ds exploit back. What can I do? My sysnand is currently on 9.2, and I use rxtools with pasta. Thanks in advance
sorry, I don't even know what is that. I remember using FBI to get it to work in the first place but I forgot how...Why don't you just use menuhax with CTRbootmanager instead?
It's very good it allows you to boot into cfw automatically or any other homebrew whenever you turn on your console. But first you will need to install menuhax from the homebrew launcher so you can get auto boot setup. Here's a link to get ctrbootmanager set up - https://gbatemp.net/threads/ctrbootmanager-3ds-boot-manager-loader-homemenuhax.398383/sorry, I don't even know what is that. Huh your not making sense. Cia's are installed on the sd card and it has to be installed on the emunand. However legit CIA'S can be installed on Sysnand.Anyone have any idea if i should install CIA (any kind) on SD Card or to the emunand?
Yea that was the answer i was looking for.Huh your not making sense. Cia's are installed on the sd card and it has to be installed on the emunand. However legit CIA'S can be installed on Sysnand.
