I'm curious about something. I know you can't backup your naad on 10.3 without a hardmod, but on 9.2 and lower you can without one, so let's say you successfully downgraded and backed up your naad but a friend comes along and updates your 3DS back to 10.3. Would you be able to use your backed up naad to restore your 3DS if you hard bricked it while attempting to downgrade?
if you have your nand back up you can recover from any type of brick . . . true story

You would have to be a complete dick brain to think this downgrader is safe at the current build it is. I knew it was not safe when i did mine and knew the risks and lucky enough it didn't brick.

Tbh, im actually thinking of updating it back, as some things just don't feel right with it and may bite us on the ass later on.

To anyone thinking of still doing this, hold off till a better secure build is released.

No it's not, because he said in the wrong order and if you don't do the inputs correctly the recovery menu won't boot.
. . . . uhh order what bloody order . . . you are holding all the buttons as you power on
its not the konami code or something

If there is a somewhat large chance of failure, then it isn't safe.

No one claimed it was 100% foolproof safe. Stop looking for scapegoat for your own impatience. There are like several threads about downgrade and each thread had many people with complete bricks, people who do those tutorial say it isn't 100% safe and IF they don't say anything then it means it isn't safe.

edit:

Also reading your stuff in this thread i can make bet with you that your FW either was corrupted or wrong.

So far almost all bricks are either due to wrong FW version installed or not properly taking measures to ensure that md5 of fw is right. Even simple copy paste via explorer in windows can lead to corruption. Being on mac also means mac will try to add to folder some things that could brik your 3ds. Also people prematurely powering down their 3dses on gathering cia information.

Above all of that current downgrade methods work on UNFINISHED AND UNSTABLE exploit that is still in developement. Every dev who works on sysupdater and those exploits said that YOU SHOULD HAVE HARDMOD and then try downgrade.

I feel your pain, and I understand being irritated at the spread of misinformation.
It's true, various users have managed to achieve 100% brick with the correct update pack. As with most things in life, it isn't 100% guaranteed to work. The build used for the process makes a difference, however.
If you ever have any doubt about something, even just a little, do intense research beforehand. That's the only advice I can give.
It's quite unfortunate that you've suffered the fate of the brick (assuming it is 100% brick, and your recovery mode attempts just aren't working yet). I've honestly no idea how I was able to recover from semi-brick a grand total of 8 times before successfully downgrading on the 9th try.

Different users all appear to be getting different results from the tools available.

Lol, love how the other threads claim it's 100% safe if you don't do anything stupid.
My .cias were perfectly fine, I had the right region, etc.
Yeah right. My fault, but really... don't present it as 100% safe if it is not.
Uhh what 100% safe? Almost all downgrade threads says WARNING: MIGHT BRICK YOUR DEVICE

99% I'm sure you bricked your 3DS, the weird thing is that when i tried to downgrade my N3DS, I got an error also in the middle of the downgrade but when i did hard reset, my N3DS booted up on 9.2E.
I'm sorry for your 3DS :/
