The TTP seems to be a rar file. Some people just downloaded it from that iso site and extract CIA from it.

Well, waiting seems to be the better option, until we see if the new build released on the other thread by julian (page 85) is safe.

TTP files are unsafe, it's better to just use full .zip packages, no "modified" packages, and verify the checksum in my thread.

Also, the build was posted by julian20, but the changes were done by steveice10.

Do you know where the steveice10 version is at?

No, this is the hardbrick, it doesn't boot past the black screen, I tried it and leaving it there for ~4 hours and it didn't do anything. Tried A+L+R+Up and it doesn't go to recovery (did it around 20-30 times), it can't do anything.

That hardbrick with the blue screen is when it can at least boot to give you that error, in our cases it can't even boot to do it.

And I see, but it's still a softbrick. It happens when you install o3ds firmware on a n3ds, no way to recover from this.

You may be right that it is a softbrick, however, I was using the O3ds not the N3ds.
Anyways softbrick, I'm just gonna run out and buy a new one.

I'll probably end up just stealing one while in a cardboard box because you know that is so badass.

Check again the checksums of your update pack. Also, you were using sysupdater from tuxsh or steveice ? Because the version of steveice is way safer

Tuxsh yesterday and I am pretty sure the checksum was correct.
Doesn't matter anymore though, I'm just turning this one into a Raspberry Pi Portable and buying a new one so all is good.

I kept getting this with Steveice's updated version.

titleException
main.cpp:108: Result: 0xD900182F
Failed to get CIA file info!

But using the unsafe Tuxsh version from 22hours ago, does not display that error. Has that been fixed yet?

I take it back, don't use that one. Wait for a more stable build from steveice10 or TuxSH

The problem with tuxsh release is that it first delete ALL the system titles and then start to install the cias, so if your console freeze before the cias are installed, your console is unusable

Steveice modified it so instead of deleting everything, it delete a cia title and install its replacement immediatly after, and so on...

Just bricked my old3ds XL EUR, was on 10.3 and installed menuhax via browerhax.
Then tried to install 9.2 via sysupdate, after the fifth (or so) cia package that "Error Has Occurred. Hold down the Power Button to turn the power off" message came and thats it, waited for 10 minutes then shut down the system.

I think I forgot to remove tubehax maybe that was the error, I also had Nintendo Badge stuff on the homescreen.
Besided of that I I have done stuff like that many times and never bricked anything, maybe I just got to cocky because I always was pretty sure to not brick anything ever lol.
But at least now I have reason to buy a new3ds finally...

I tried to downgrade to 9.2.0 E on my 10.3.0 E New 3DS (not XL), and when it was supposed to reboot it didn't do anything. Turned it off after 10+ minutes and then it booted up to error. Fixed by entering safe mode and updating from there.
Folder 00000098 (European homemenu extdata) existed on my SD card, so I removed it (and themes as well) just to make sure, tried again. This time it actually rebooted by itself but still no luck, fixed with safe mode again. Both of these times my entry point has been the web browser, so I'm gonna try one last time with Ocarina of Time 3D as my entry point, and this time I'm downloading 9.2.0-20 EUR with 3DNUS. I'll post what happens when it's done.

Serial number on box starts with YEF1006.
