My report is that I downgraded to 9.2 properly and now have emunand + rxTools set up.

Downloaded FTP-3DS like the sysupdater release suggested but after 3-4 tries it never really worked, so I gave up and I just started sysupdater directly from HBL and it loaded fine right away, downgraded fine, all good to go.

Successfully managed to downgrade my bro's O3DS from 10.3 to 9.2 via Homemenuhax.
Now to only downgrade my N3DS, but i'm afraid it'll end up bricking so i'll wait that one out.

So, using steveice's edit sysUpdater, I was able to successfully downgrade an O3DS XL from 10.2 to 9.2 on the first try, with no errors whatsoever.

Any idea on where to get the sysupdater edited by steveice?
I got it from the 10.3 Kernel PoC thread, he posted it himself, but I ain't digging through that to get it again, so here;

This one should be safer, it removes cias one by one to install the new one, and installs FIRM last, while the old one would remove all cias before starting the downgrade process, hence if you froze halfway through it'd brick because you'd have no CIAs installed, meaning steveice's version is significantly safer, if it freezes, you should end up with a frankenstein FW but at least it shouldn't full brick.

Steveice himself confirmed this working on O3DS, and mine worked perfectly on the first try, I'm setting up rxtools as we speak, so it'll be as safe as it'll ever be.

Just make 100% sure you have the correct FW files, check the hashes of the zipped folder, if they match the ones listed here, everything should go smoothly.

So... Will it work on o3DS 9.6.0? I think so... because the most people here are trying it on 10.3.0
