Hacking Sky3DS+ Plus Card are Delayed by the Factory

nds-card is at least being up front about it:

(2015.12.16) SKY+ will not come soon

Dear friends,

Many friends asked us when we get the SKY PLUS cards in stock.

But very sorry that we don't know when even we have asked SKY team. They are working hard to make it out but have no a date.

May sky+ will come after Christmas.

Once we get sky+ cards we will tell you here the first time.

I preordered somewhere else but asked other resellers if they had the sky3ds+, see what thegamerdepot told me :

Just FYI. Don't expect your cards for months now. Shenzhen (where the factories are) just got hit with a landslide.

I would suggest getting refunds from anywhere you can.

The last time something like this happened overseas Hard Drive prices skyrockets for over a year.

Shenzen is still a pretty big area. One landslide isn't ideally going to stop factory production all over.

Says it's an "industrial park" in the article, but 33 houses is basically a drop in the bucket in a huge area like Shenzhen is. It's a tragedy for the people involved, but doesn't have anything to do with the Sky3DS+ situation.

EDIT: To add to that, the flood that caused HDD prices to raise was one of the worst floods to ever happen to Thailand and all HDD manufacturers had plants in the area that got affected. You need clean conditions to manufacture HDDs, so these plants were basically ruined and needed to be completely rebuild.

So, I suggest stop spreading FUD, this is far from comparable.

Well well… I contacted sky team and digitopz and the sky's team said they've "just shipped the first batch of sky3ds+ cards to our resellers today" and digitopz said it would be shipped within 3 days. They're both on the same page at least… Maybe we could get it this month.

3 days to get to resellers, then ~5 to ship and maybe 1-3 days to arrive depending on location. Possibly.

3dstown replied too… What they say is that they are sorry for being late and they will ship it later today with tracking number lol… I didn't even order with them… And it's bullshit if we refer to team sky.
But things are in progress I guess. Just hope for the best and wait.

Imo 3dstown are super fake, I only "trust" the sky team and maybe digitopz (where I ordered) which said "within 3 days"
It can't be shipped today I think, but as long as I receive it during the holidays I will be happy (I would have to wait 2 months to play super mystery dungeon in france haha)

Bought mine from 3dscarduk, they sent me this today:

Dear Customer
I'm really sorry that the sky3ds+ has a delay release.
I think nobody can receive the sky3ds+ before xmas.
Even though the sky3ds+ release today,
we need 1-2 days to get the stock to UK local,
then Royalmail need 1-2 days to deliver to you.

So, just wish it can arrive you before New Year

well over a month ago. Apparently there shipping
our order tomorrow (December 22) So we may have them on the 24th.
If not then they will arrive on the 28th. We wish the sky team didn't announce
them so early when they were not actually available.
We will do our best to ship every Pre-order possible as soon as we receive them

I have a question about that batch because team sky said they shipped (or will ship) "a first small batch" of skyds+… What do they mean, do you know how many pieces you'll have ?
More importantly : will everyone who pre-ordered have their sky3ds+ shipped at once ? In other words : will the resellers have enough units ?

That's what I was also wondering and peachds said it was a very small batch.
I guess the only thing to do is wait.
