I manage this thread somewhat and communicate with you guys, I WAS a localisation editor and general ideas contributor alongside the rest of the localisation team too.
Yugix and myself have recruited people periodically to help with translation and other areas, Yugix also did graphics and text insertion as well as overseeing the main translation spreadsheet.

Hi, everyone. I'm a new member here; but I've been following this for a while. I'm an avid Digimon fan, love the anime, and love all the DS games(with the exception of Championship), so naturally I'm super excited for this game. Just curious though, is it still being worked on...? Or is it in a hiatus of sorts...? I'm just curious; I hope that's not an "out of bounds" question, as I know it'd be ridiculous to ask for an exact release date. Thanks in advance. Also, this is somewhat separate, and if I'm not supposed to ask this in this thread I apologize, but does anyone know if there's an existing translation or an in-progress translation/patch for the Digimon Story Super Xros Wars games...?

We can only progress as fast as we can have translators reliably and consistently translating text. Which is something we've lacked for years now.

As for Xros Wars I don't think so. Anyone doing that would have probably come here first.

Unfortunately the Super Xros Wars games were not very good. While there was a group who planned to translate it, not much was done in terms of progress if I remember correctly.

The games strayed a little too far from the normal format that made digimon world DS, Dusk + Dawn much more popular.
Lost Evolution thankfully still has the original format, with only several minor changes to digivolution/degeneration.

I've had stage 4 glioblastomas in my brain for a few years now, but they have currently moved down my spine/esophagus. My doctor gave me anywhere from six weeks to six months to live. I can play the game in Japanese, albeit tough, but I was wondering if the patched work can be implemented just for me so that I can play more of it without having to rely on walkthroughs. If not I understand.

I love you guys. I've been following this thread since it's inception, and the fact you still even take the time to come back and update us with what little or nothing there has been means a lot. Just seeing that people come in to say "Nothing has changed" shows you still care about the project. I hope you can find a translator soon.

I second that. And even if it's true... You're still kind of an ass for trying to use others' sympathy/empathy to make/force people to inconvenience themselves for your sole benefit. Either way, it's pretty messed up imho.

If Yugix actually gave the game to Romsstar to finish(Which I have my doubts about, since Yugix doesn't seem to give a shit about this anymore), it shouldn't take too long, Romsstar is awesome.

Don't slander Yugix, he's done more for the project than you think.
And we have contacted and talked over with Romsstar, we just need to hear back from him

I didn't mean it as slander at all, I appreciate what he did for the project but as far as right now goes, he appears to have lost interest in the project almost completely.

No access to consistent/reliable translation help atm.

That's a shame, hopefully he just missed the message or something, rather than being too busy or something. I posted in his Decode thread to ask, hopefully he'll clear things up.

It is fine that I can't get the translation. My cancer moved from being operable to being inoperable so I was just seeing if there was a way I could get the incomplete translation but if that isn't possible then so be it; I'm not trying to ruin what you allow me to receive.

Which do you prefer for place names?!

Stick with Japanese names for all names.

Use localized names (from Dawn/Dusk) for old names, and Japanese for new names.
