Hardware Battle of Haswell-E vs Skylake [suggestions, feedback welcome]

let me know your thoughts, would appreciate that, I want 55% work and 45% gaming, by work I mean render real-film [2k,4k ++, animations] and photo stuff, software I use Adobe CC, Blackmagic Davinci Resolve etc..

from the programs you will be using, go with haswell-e, you will see great performance in these apps compared to skylake
for gaming it doesnt make that much of a difference which one, they are both about the same since most games are only programmed to use 2-4 cores

I myself have a 5820k overclocked to 4.3ghz, its a great value cpu

Will you be buying these parts soon?
intel is supposed to release a new enthusiast cpu sometime early next year, Broadwell-E

I am going to suggest the second... independent of your question. Go with the board that had four RAM slots, it is really your operational space anyway. This way you can upgrade later or go straight to max and wait for firmware.

I don't really see any benefit from Skylake right now aside from updated integrated graphics, lower power draw and the "OOOOooooOOOooOOOO I have a 6th Gen processor" appeal, especially from a functionality standpoint, so yes, go with the Haswell-E chip

It may help to consider getting a quad-channel RAM kit if you're going for the Haswell-E system. Whilst the gains aren't the most important thing in a build, I don't see why not make use of the potential quad-channel provides.

For rendering etc, haswell-e.

You may have an issue with that case + card combo though.

The sapphire 390 is long. 308mm. That case can take up to 330mm, but only with the hdd cage removed. Which according to the manual, means you would have to use 2.5" drive only (3.5" only fit with the cage). I can't find how long it will accomadate without the cage, but I seriously doubt you will get the nitro in without removing it.

Wont be a problem, using 2,5" [SSD] and one day build in a m2

Gtx 970? almost same performance as 390.

Nope 960,
970 is to expensive , I wanna use the benefit of CUDA for Adobe CC and Davinci Resolve is more a workstation than a gaming machine I wanna build. I can wait for Pascal until that I don't wanna buy a card for 300 bucks

You could likely get away with a cheaper MoBo if you wanted, although ASRock is definitely a quality choice for a MoBo.
