Hey @Don Abu where are you ? Mate I found another mod of this game which include a tank for Hoth map and fine other tanks.

But difficulty is much better balanced in you're mod with that woman with laser blade. Once you blow the tank game is so easy but that woman revive all the time. :)

Can a vita user confirm that information ? Its fine to expect better colour density but on a forum I read that textures and frame rate are even better on vita.

"For graphics and playability, it's phenomenal how much better it runs on the Vita than on PSP. The Vita bumps the framerate up to between 40-60, while the PSP can get the game more or less at 30 FPS. The textures look great on the Vita, making it look just a bit more like the console versions, but alas it can only look so good."

On 6.61 pro -c none of the challenges work. I even changed my clock to how you said in the txt file. Imperial enforcer , rogue assassin, rebel raider, all freeze my psp when i click on them. And where it says "Thank you guys" how would people know that the text is even clickable ? took me a while to find out that it was a mode. I appreciate the efforts but maybe you should release something that works next time. again gratful for you but many modes dont work on my psp.I even change iso modes in my vsh menu

Who said the challenges will work ? For the new maps he sacrificed the challenges. There is a great amount of effort and in my opinion his mod is awesome. We have to support developers if we want to see new mods.

Hey, Broadus here! I was googling my own mod just to see if I could find it and this was the first result! I really appreciate everything you guys have done with it. My biggest regret is that I never made a tutorial explaining how I modded the game. Basically, I used the PC mod tools to make a new main.lvl or whatever it was called, but it got a little more complicated than that. There is a thing in each level script called "PS2modelmemory". What I did was change PS2modelmemory to PSPmodelmemory and add a zero to whatever number was there. This always seemed to fix an issue I would have with models where they would freak out.
The reason challenges don't work is because they were PSP-exclusive. This meant I couldn't get them in the mod tools, so I didn't know what the file names were for them or how they would launch properly without going through the regular level settings first.

Do you have any plan or intention to work on this game ? There are a few bugs and also details which could be better.

The Star Wars Battlefront 2 Portable Restoration Mod
Welcome my fellow battlefrontians to a project which has been in the works for more than the past 6 months.When i first came to this thread i created it for one purpose which was to share Brodaus's mod with all fans of Star wars Battlefront 2.However then it occurred to me why don't i make my own mod for this game since Brodauses mod was released in secret and wasn't played by half the amount of people who could have played and enjoyed the living hell out of it.So after 6 months of researching and epic failing i can announce that me and my team are currently working towards making a Star Wars Battlefront 2 Portable Restoration Mod that will include all of the working assets that LUCASARTS diddnt give the go ahead for the PSP port for some reason.

Below i will answer the most common Questions and give you information on the modification:

Who is Brodaus and what is this mod Yall favor so much?
Brodaus was a modder who modded star was battlefront 2 for the psp and managed to restore a few dozen assets back into the game.You can find his modification on YouTube if you search "Star wars battlefront 2 psp mod Rhen var".Brodaus uploaded the mod on a forum back in 2006/2007 and a few played it but most like myself diddnt learn of its existence till many years later.

Who are you and why are you releasing this mod?
I am Don abu someone who was played battlefront since early teens and a mega fan of the star wars universe.Me and my team are working on this modifications because of the following reasons:

1.We have been able to successfully restore assets which diddnt make it into the final port of the game but more importantly we have been able to surpass what Brodaus has added into his mod of the game.
2.We are fans of Star Wars.
3.We want to battlefront 2 to always remain as the true example of how a battlefront game should be(looking at you DICE) and show people like Dice how popular a 10 year game is despite them releasing a new one.
4.Just like YU Suzuki said "Lets make a Star Wars Battlefront 2 portable Restoration for all the fans" XD

What is this Modification about then?
This Modification is mainly a restoration of all assets which the developers decided not to include in the game (e.g missing maps).But its not only a restoration modification but also a whole game modification.The plan is to change the units for ALL maps and Include in BRAND spanking NEW units which AREN'T EVEN IN IN ANY OTHER SWBF2 version.version. Thats right i am delighted to announce that the developers had plans to include new models of the characters which don't even exist in the PC OR PS2 ports.

What exactly are you restoring

We are going to be restoring the following things in the First Complete V 1.0 Release:

New planets such as:
Coruscant,Geonosis,Jabbas Palace,Rhen Var,Utupau(Including they're respective modes)

Increased Reinforcement count which will be 10,000 maximum(Sorry but we are Battlefrontians and we like to play long ass matches)

Restored Hero spawn and Defeat Sounds:
You will hear all heroes say things (LIKE e.g Sheev Palpatine will say this when you play as him "Your MASTER is here and he is not Amused")

Restored SIDE sounds and effects:
You will hear the human and CIS commanders informing you of the status of the match.

Play as new heroes:
You can now play as Storm trooper Han and Luke (These were one of few psp exclusive models)

Play as new units:
You can now play as a Jetroopper riflemen

Play new game modes:
I will be editing a few modes so that you can play stuff like WOOKIES VS WAMPAS Conquest OR Ewoks VS jawas

Play PC game modes:
Ever wanted to play the XL and UBER pc game modes? well now you will (This depends on how many of you want this)

Play crazy Impossible Matches:
Ever wanted to see the REPUBLIC VS Strormtroopers or perhaps Rebls vs CIS or even Republic VS Rebels well now you will.

Play as new Monsters from the star wars universe:
Wampas,Wookies,Jawas,Ewoks,Acklay,Geonosians etc....

Play as units from Star wars Episode 1:
Ever wanted to play as the Naboo queen or the Queens guards

Restoration of a few space maps/modes

Restoration of a few land/space vehicles


What do you mean by FIRST V1.0 Release?
Well i do have plans for DLC which will add more content such as BESPIN,KAMINO and other game modes but ill make this decision only IF its possible to restore these things.

When will you release the The V.1.0 of BF2PRM?
V.10 was released on the 30th of October 2015

How can this Modification be Installed and will you be uploading ISO's?
Dear God no!This Modification will require NO patch or anything like that.Nor will we provide any ISOS.To install this Modification you will need to simply replace an original file which is in the iso with our modified one.But ill explain how to to this when we near release.I will explain how to install the mod via a Step by Step guide showing you how to install the files.

False. They run the same as they do on PSP. ALL psp games are locked into the frame rate they were developed in. None of them use the Vita's power for a boost since they run from an emulated PSP engine from within the Vita. The textures are the same, actually depending what you play, worse. Games are stretched to fit the screen so you'll get a jaggy image. Although there is a bilinear filter option help smooth it out not by alot though.

What's about Elite Squadron ? I can give only 2 above 5 to this game, it doesn't even deserve a mod imo. Unleashed has better graphics and gameplay. I wish it was possible to implement the Jedi Temple in Unleashed to Battlefront 2 but it's close to impossible.
I mean This Game's had the right idea... But the Controls Are Absolutely DISGUSTING. The Space to ground and Customization was Phenomenal though tbh.

I wish all Star Wars game should have a choice between 1st person and 3rd person shooter types. Yes it's ground to air and space feature is extraordinary, this is another a must have for a Star Wars game. Fighting in a ground complex and then jumping to space and to be in a space ship is the real fun. But I prefer to feel real fps experience through aiming with buttons. Elite totally auto aims, there is auto aim in Battlefront 2 but you feel the fight.

There is no way to get inside to Jedi Temple in Elite Squadron, right ? I can see the Temple but when I get closer it says "don't leave the battle"
