Welcome to the first GBAtemp game of the year vote!
Here we have the top 50 games from 2015 as chosen by the GBAtemp staff. We believe that the GBAtemp GotY should be decided by our community as a whole, so would like our fellow Tempers to vote on their favourite games of the year for 2015 from the above poll.
Multiple votes are allowed, 25 titles will make it through to round 2.

Woohoo! 2015 was an AMAZING year for games. I'm hoping to see Steins;Gate make it into further rounds. Meanwhile Bloodborne, Undertale, MGS V, and Fallout 4 are shoe-ins for GOTY, so it's going to be a tough choice.

It's between Bloodborne and The Witcher 3 imo. Bloodborne is the better "game" but The Witcher 3 brings a better overall package so it just edges things for me.

Batman: Arkham Knight, Her Story, Splatoon, Super Mario Maker, The Legend of Zelda: Tri-Force Heroes and Undertale are the ones I've voted for.

Sad to see that I'm the only one who has voted for undertale so far. It was quite a nice and enoyable game IMO.

Undertale is gonna win because hipsters
There are plenty of annoying hipsters here, but there's also a ton of fanboys. Lots of people will vote for certain games because it has their franchise's name on it, and that's it. Then again, we're voting for our favorite game of the year, not what we think is the best game of the year. But damn, you're right, Undertale's in the lead.

Also... if there are 50 games... why are we allowed to vote for all 50? The most we should be able to vote for is 49, but an ideal number would be < 10.

Personally, I thought it was a dreadful year for games... and basing my vote only on the titles in that list I've played, Undertale is a no-brainer for game-of-the-year.

It's a shame that staggered region/platform releases have kept Binding of Isaac (3ds) off the list, otherwise I'd have probably voted for that.

It has to be Witcher 3 for me.

Outstanding game with a huge ammount of content and free DLC, thoroughly enjoyed every second of that game and is easily my GOTY

I forgot Hotline Miami 2 came out in 2015 man. Also I swear most of the people who say they love Undertale just like the idea of liking it.

@K3Nv2 Snow Day is pretty fun. My only bitch would be the camera controls, when you move around, say down, you have to move the right stick left or right to get camera to turn and get your view, other than that I like it so far.

From what people say pvp isn't even worth it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, doesnt the game have a campaign mode?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.

If you can find enough for it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Toilet paper is considered the money, you collect and buy stuff with TP, kinda funny. Graphics are def better than the other games tho, I think they used Unity 5 engine.

I bet most people at the time still watched it in black and white
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Many of them did before colour television was common.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Likely because black and white TV was in-expensive.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It certainly wasn't inexpensive it cost the same as a new car back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
How much did a 1965 color TV cost?

For example, a 21-inch (diagonal) GE color television in 1965 had an advertised price of $499, which is equal to $4,724 in today's dollars, according to the federal government's inflation calculator.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@K3Nv2, take into consideration how economy was back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why they listed inflation rates
