haha, yeah. I bought my Wii U from a pawn shop and it still had the previous user account on it. Had parental controls, too, but that was incredibly easy to crack. Security question asked where [the parent] grew up. I just entered in the city in which I purchased the unit and voila, unlocked. But that punk Christiano still has an account on my console

Try to enter that account, the password keyboard will appear on the gamepad
Press select ("I forgot"), it will ask to reset the password by email, don't click yes or no
Hold Y+Select+Start until it displays the username and some numbers
Contact support with that information, they'll tell you a one time password
Mii face > delete account

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I just bought a second hand Wii U. It's still logged into the old NNID with password protection and parental control PIN. There is no way to get past the parental control PIN so I believe the only way to get into it is to add user and guess the PIN. Tried everyone from 0000 to 4000 so far. Give me strength to continue.
Tried ringing Nintendo who say as it's 2nd hand I have to send it in to them. But I really can't be bothered with that.

Thanks for the reply guys. I've tried that. The problem is I can't select "I've forgotten" on the parental controls because there's still a password protected NNID on the console so I can't get the inquiry number or check the date.

Wen you are on the parental control, just miss 3 times the parental control. Then, miss 3 times the secret answer of the secret question, and it should give you the inquiry code
If I don't get the parental code right there times it just tell me I don't have the correct code and contact Nintendo. Then takes me back to the first menu.
