Yeah that happens with pocketsnes too. There is also no way to disable filter with the retroarch gui. The only way is to delete the filter itself or the retroarch config. It is quite annoying.
to disable a filter, just press "start" when the "Video Filter" entry is selected. ( "start" is the default hotkey for setting back any config value to the default one).

You go to video -> filters in settings, but instead of selecting a file, press start. That disables the filter.

EDIT: Aliaspider already posted. Whoops.

If dynarec (gspwn) is implemented, then maybe it can.

Just read a bit on gspwn (3dbrew, here) and the access/limitations of *hax (here) and it seems like it'd give us dynarec, but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that gpsp already uses it (which is why it's so much faster than the mgba core) - which makes me think it might already be implemented in pcsx as well. If it hasn't, though, we could see a huge speedup (if gpsp/mgba is anything to go by) in the future.

EDIT: links

PocketSNES was added in today's nightly and the "farting" noises are fixed. It is glorious :D

However, the sound emulation is still inaccurate, such as mario's spin jump and the going down the pipe sounds (kinda like ZSNES). I don't know if this due to being based of SNES9x 1.39 or something else.

Otherwise, it is the best emulator speedwise. The dev/s is doing a really good job porting this over to the 3ds.

EDIT: The regular CatSFC (NON plus version) have the same sound issues. It would be nice is the sound emulation from the Plus version or Next is implemented in PocketSNES in the future. But for now it is the only 3ds emulator that runs Mario RPG at fullspeed. :)

I noticed a small problem that is pretty much causing the game shortcuts to be useless. When a game is loaded through opening retroarch it reads the save data properly. However, when you launch a game through a shortcut it doesn't load that save data / loads the wrong save data. Unfortunate.
I found a solution to that problem. It seems when you make a shortcut it loads the save from the same folder the rom is in. so if you move your current save file into the same folder the rom is in it should read it fine.

EDIT: Also you might want to change the directory of your save file to that same folder through settings, so the core doesn't save in the wrong folder

Catfsc (not plus) core still has pretty bad glitching in DKC1 world/level map screen. It's been like that in the builds since at least a few weeks. Is that a known (reported) issue to the developers?

Latest (11-24) PCE Fast is working fine for me w/ Ironhax 2.5.

On the latest payload from smea's site using the latest nightly I get
Code:
unsupported version
Please update your playload

Press Start.

I'm on a 9.9 N3DS using themehax if that means anything.

EDIT: Nevermind! It works! I wasn't updating the payload, I was updating the boot.3dsx

I'm using the 10/23 .CIA nightly set, just downloaded it last night, and installed it moments ago. (And I already need to update for the PocketSNES sound fix. Figures.) Every core I've tried so far has crashed when I select "Close Content" from the Quick Menu. I tested Mednafen PCE-Fast as well as gPSP. I don't know if it's just me, or if it's an issue that's only for this particular nightly build and I just happened to pick a bad time to download them and should have waited one more day, or what. The previous version I had been using was the set from 9/30, and it didn't have this issue.

EDIT: I updated to 10/24. This version doesn't have the issue.
