The 3DS hacking scene has just about matured enough to say bye-bye to hardware solutions.

what does maturity have to do with hardware solutions? What makes you think the 3ds scene is "mature"

Sorry I just don't understand the basis for these comments.

Wow... :glare:

By "mature", we mean that it has got better, and has easier solutions.

That's kinda what I thought you meant but I wanted to be sure... I don't think you make any sense. If anything, by your definition, the scene has de-matured has holes have been closed and exploit opportunities have become farther and fewer between. It's getting much much harder. The reward prospect for businesses like GW and SKY is ever reducing as exploitable units cease to be on the market. Hardware or Software have nothing to do with maturity, they are purely manifestations of whatever exploits happen to be available.

So yeah... WOW.

BTW, your thingy says you are an "Official PS Vita Developer" props and respect to you bro. That's awesome (not being snarky I am serious.). Thanks for your work!

Mature like cheese - leave it sitting around for a while until it gets stinky.

you sir, make more sense than Voxel IMHO :)

Gateway has a Update to 3.5, but it kind of has some Issues with .cia Installed Games/Homebrew. But for now, there are Cheats for .3ds/.3dz Games. Only 5 for right now for NA Region
00040000000EC300=The Legend of Zelda - A Link Between Worlds
0004000000111B00=Yoshis New Island
0004000000035400=LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars
0004000000049000=StarFox 64 3D
0004000000062300=Sonic Generations
Now just need to see about which other Games have Cheats :D

Erm..

We can:
1. Use gateway to install Devmenu/BBM/BRM/FBI
2. download all the CIAs we want
3. Update Emunand for most existing features
4. .cia users don't have to be worried about being online banned [don't have sky3DS header issue]
5. If Emunand e-shop access is blocked, simply use HANs (or Download the updates.cia as per Point 1)

And as indirect add-on points; for those who could use GW and decided to stop using them for whatever reason, these users can:
6. use HANS through browserhax (then themehax/homemenuhax)
7. Or use RXtools
8. Can region change emunand (with secureinfo swap)
9. OR use NTR new cia boot method, and change region of our games
10. do some funny configuration to get their MT card working again ><
11. Do bluecard time warp so that they can use their older DS flashcarts

In the mean time, Sky3DS is slowly getting blocked out.
And if you updated beyond 9.2 thinking your Sky3DS is your Holy Solution, you're F***ed

I mean, those who need Sky3DS for Cubic Ninja (because >FW 9.2), are more screwed than GW users :rofl2:
(Yes, there have been bricks [peace upon those 3ds], but it's statistically small)

edit:
They're probably busy trying to rip off all the fun things about present CFWs,
and make it their great new GW4.0 Debut.

Cheats, region changing, layered FS for rom hacking, replacing H&S app.
etc. etc.
The thing is... None of the things you've listed really need a gateway at all. The only reason I've even thought about getting one was to have more room, and I just bought a bigger sd card instead.

The sky3ds blocking is per-game, not systemwide. If they were actively trying to block the card, more would have happened. Instead, there are just AP checks. All people with a sky3ds will have is every game without antipiracy and homebrew through CN/OOT, poor things.

Hmm, gateway is a convenient starting point.

Tons of stuff is reversed engineering from gateway, so while they are almost pointless as of now, they do patch emunand support ASAP.

(Though I think CFWs are catching up)

The extra space is really great; I've got tons of games on my red card and as CIA installations.
