Is there an homebrew app for 3DS that can make it easier? Never know how to do so manually. May mistake IPS for cheaper screen myself.

Re-asking it, since no onswer. Does the xenoblade 3d bundle N3DS come with 9.2 or below for sure or a chance of an updated version?

It's not on the OP's list and I couldn't find anything on google. I guess all you can do is wait for someone to buy it and confirm or buy it yourself and find out.

Is there a preference over which screen to get? I mean, should I be looking for something at the boxes in gamestop when I come to purchase one other than the serial number?

I don't think you can confirm whether it is an IPS screen without opening it.

is one screen better than the other? And why do they exactly have different screens? Shouldn't they all technically be the same?

Almost every n3ds I have found with 103xx usa console has been 1.2gb ips

There's not really a way to tell on Amazon. On eBay, you could contact the seller and ask for the Serial No, but its still kinda risky. The safest way is to buy the console in person.

Happy home designer bundle is above 9.2.

Just picked up a QW4023 New 3ds Red from a Walmart in Central Massachusetts, can confirm it has 9.0.0-2u like QW4025 and QW4024.

Version Number QW4023
Region: USA
Firmware: 9.0.0-2u
System Color (checking a hunch): Red

To anyone in or around the Mena, AR area, I just came from Mena Walmart and they have six red New 3ds XL consoles with serial QW1018 and one black one with serial QW4020. According to the first page of this thread these serials are confirmed to have 9.0.0-20U.

Darn. I contacted an Ebay seller last month, he had a Q4023 for $170 before tax +free shipping but I didn't think it is possible so didn't gamble on it.

Edit: The seller send me the pictures of full serial number, as the rule of this thread, I edit out the unique numbers. Sorry for lousy edit skill!

It's still a gamble since it was the cusp of the change of the firmware. I assume you will see a few on both sides

Northborough, MA Walmart. Might've been the last one though, the only other two I saw were from much later production runs.

edit: Think I also saw a black QW1038 (?) at the Toys'R'us nearby, if you want to take a chance.
