Better put those blocks back in place or your console will update. It still checks for other titles out of date on the system and will patch them.

Your issue with Smash, you need to use WUPinstaller and NUSgrabber to download the latest smash update and install it to the system.
I get the nag for a smash update but it just fails and lets me continue, will it not let you continue past this point no matter what?

I've also disabled the block so NUSGrabber will work :)

That was my next move, to update via WUPinstaller and NUSGrabber.

The message I get with tubehax installed after trying to start SMASH is "the software could not be updated, returning to the wiiu menu" and no option to actually start it.

cheers guys, I'll chime back in when i've given that a go.

agreed, i havent touched my wiiu in months. turned it on yesterday to check my firmware version (right on 5.3.2) and played a few games of smash offline after changing my wireless settings. now it wont even work.
although, now you mention it, it did kick my NNID out and ask for my password, so maybe there was too much back and forth between the server when I was trying to spoof to 5.5.

You can launch Loadiine, but you won't be able to play smash if you want to, the game will fail out saying you need to update first.

I've also disabled the block so NUSGrabber will work :)

You don't need to disable blocks for NUSgrabber or eShop access to work. They use different DNS names.

Even with TubeHax DSN I can't do the online "hack"
I'm hosting myself the files trough my cellphone with kWs app
Works like a charm with default Loadiine and Loadiine Mod

I heard there is a new "mod" or "release" that goes straight from browser to Mii Maker.
Can someone send me the link of this version?
Thanks

Thanks by the way :) What are the .elf files for? just noticed them, something new?
In laymans terms, removes size restrictions by using elf loader to load loadiine instead of html code. So yes, they are needed. Also, you will need to implement mime type application/octet-stream for elf files if you self host.

hi @EclipseSin, I was using your hosted files and they worked fine yesterday, but today I'm getting "no ksploit" when trying to run either the Kernel or Loadiine Kernel exploits. Am I doing something wrong? I've tried hosting my own files but haven't had much luck getting them to work. Note: My SD file structure is configured for dimok loadiine.

Hey guys. I made a small change again. This change speeds up the loading times of files in the game by a lot, especially of files that are loaded asynchronous. This increases loading speed by up to 10x. You can see the difference on super mario 3d world very clear. Now I am not sure if I didnt break any compatibility with other games as I dont own many games. It would be great if you could report any new issues you encounter. As always the sources are at the github.

One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way

It's old but it's the best firmware out for DS stuff
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
it says it only works for the original R4, R4i Gold (r4ids.cn), R4iDSN (r4idsn.com) and Acekard R.P.G.

    nvm it does support mine
