Fragged up beyond all recognition, it's a military term :P Meaning, royally jacked up, the recent RA has a massive regression with 16-bit emulators and dropping frames randomly, and the developers suggested a new build is compiled is likely has been fixed.

https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues/2164

As such, I'll be testing a new Genesis Plus core (most recent version) on 1.0.0.2 and 1.2.2 :P
Let us know your results!

I'm pretty impressed by the speed progress of this standalone emulator. And to think that NO ONE EVER thought that a full speed GBA emulator could be possible on the Wii! Using 10-05 nightly, the progress can be seen. Even Top Gear Rally is running at 60fps mostly with occasional dips to 51, FF IV runs better than ever on the mode7 intro, FF VI too! Makes me wonder if 32x emulation could be possible in the future.

The only details so far i could find was heavy input lag in Classic NES Series games, although strangely not in the Famicom Mini Volumes.

Is there any way to load roms from a USB directory?
Only SD support for now.

There's my issue. Will see if I can make some room on my SD.

Nice! Latest beta is indeed better than ever, only the filebrowser lags for a couple of seconds but no big deal.
Can anyone make a simple forwarder for this? IMHO it completely warrants it, seeing its' performance be far and away the best for GBA on Wii.

Hehe, I was trying to make one with CustomizeMii and ChannelforwarderCreator, but I'm a very very lazy person and I let it like that :rofl:. I'm looking for newer version core for Retroarch, at least I have a channel for it.

A heads up: while previously i tested the betas in a separate 2 GB SD i have for playtesting purposes, and having there ~20 select "performance heavy" GBA games, everything performed great as i mentioned above.

However, when i put the latest beta on my 32gb SD with ~300 GBA roms and run it, it freezes while scanning the contents, i.e. in the filebrowser.

Thought i should mention this in order for the developer(s) to have it in mind.
Also, FYI, latest beta that works with my 32GB SD is the 20/09 one.

Have you reported that to Endrift on the mGBA forums? There's a thread for this very version, I believe, she's quite good at getting back to reports. Or GitHub maybe?

Can anyone help me out on something regarding mGBA?

I saw a thread over at the mGBA forums of a guy that made a fork of the official mGBA, but his fork adds button mapping and filter options:
https://forums.mgba.io/showthread.php?tid=34

You can supposedly add the options via arguments in the meta.xml file.

I want to have an unfiltered option and switch buttons A and B for Y and A, so I should have something like this:
<arguments>
<arg>-r</arg>
<arg>2</arg>
<arg>-button_A</arg>
<arg>B</arg>
<arg>-button_B</arg>
<arg>Y</arg>
</arguments>

But for some reason, when I try to boot it from my Wii, it just blackscreens and sends me back to the HBC, can someone help me to get this working?
If I'm correct, that part should be added right before the </app>

Ugh..that blows, man, have you spoke to Endrift for clarification about that? She could double check it because I don't know what would be wrong, it looks right to me.

Er, my bad, have you contacted or PMed the one who made the branch for clarification?
Yep I have. No luck whatsoever.
I did what he told me yet I end up getting a blackscreen and reboot to HBC.
Can you try it out?
Just download the file from the thread, and copy the icon.png and meta.xml from th eofficial one to the fork and add that code I posted before the </app>

If it blacks out for you, it's gonna most likely black out for me too, just saying. I suggest Endrift because she would be able to figure out what's wrong, Other than seeking her help...even though it's not an official branch, I don't know what else I can do...sorry.
