There probably isn't one yet. I'm not sure what type of tag they use, someone told me Mifare Plus once but I don't know for sure.

Amiiqo does support Disney Infinity as far as I can tell.
They have a website where people can upload dumps from their figures and there is a Disney Infinity section.

Do you have a source for this?
The Disney Infinity section on the site is empty. And the websites feature list only says Amiibo. Doesn't mention Infinity.

If you don't know him, this guy has his fingers pretty much everywhere, so what he says is probably right / true.
He also set up this NFC bank website where you can see the Disney Infinity board, which he didn't just add for shits and giggles.
He probably got the info directly from the devs to just add it, as it will be possible to copy them sometime in the future.

I saw that post. He says "progress is being made." So nothing supports it right now? I remember last time "progress was being made", it was the WiiKey U

This was a whole different story ... the main developer behind 3k3y and xk3y left it all behind and abandoned the whole project (as you might saw, the support for those 2 is pretty much dropped).
Iirc there were a few peeps who tried to keep it alive, but nothing came out of it.

Maybe we will see it again once the Wii U is completely hacked (IOSU exploit still to go) ... but right now don't count on it.

Also comparing such a complex system like the WiiKey U to a Amiiqo is like compariong a real car to a hot wheels toy.

I haven't been gaming for such a long time. Been mostly busy with sleep, hardware tinkering and checking GBAtemp frequently.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Hope you've had a good morning.

It's going alright thanks :) I know what you mean with gaming time. It's precious where I can get it these days.

I think that's why I focus on just enjoying single player experiences that aren't too competitive

    How are you doing?

There's also this thing where I'm hyperfocused at night and cannot get to sleep.

That must be rough. Productive I'm sure but hard to balance with daily life

@Maximumbeans, Indeed. I've been working on getting this Infecutus chip to work on my PS2. But after soldering, I realised that a plastic piece was missing from the power ribbon cable to the power and eject buttons.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Now I could go with soldering the contacts from the cable to the connector on the mobo, but doesn't sound like a good permanent solution.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Man, that's beyond my brain  I'm no good with hardware for now. I'd like to get into hardmods in future though
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Maybe start practice soldering. Get a cheap-ass soldering iron and follow some good YouTube tutorials.

Least my experience has gotten better than over a decade ago. My iron would constantly bump into components and break them.
  • Maximumbeans @ Maximumbeans:
Sounds good. I actually did soldering but like 16 years ago for school so uuuuh probably rusty haha
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Maximumbeans, Same here. I did soldering at school from a teacher who I honestly liked since he had plenty of good electronics experience.
