Heyo Peeps !

Just puchased a Nintendo 2DS. I want to be able to play a few old school games and new. Haven't been in the loop about R4 cards for over a few years. So I have no idea what I am doing. I live in Europe and was told, I would have to source one from China or USA? Please can you lend me a few reliable sources, to purchase over paypal.

My Nintendo 2DS is still boxed and unopened. So I have no idea what firmware it is. I would love to be able to play GBC games and SNES on my 2DS too. Hopefully some of the newer Pokemon games also.

Sometimes when I try to access the nds profile exploit the 3ds doesn't go to emunand mode and I restart it , this occur pretty often . Is this the norm ?

If it's never been used, it will be on an exploitable firmware version. Look at rxTools CFW if it's exploitable. If it's not exploitable, you'll still be able to run emulators with the Homebrew Launcher: http://smealum.github.io/3ds/.

Yes, this is normal. Sometimes the CFW booting process fails and the 3DS will hang on a black screen. The only thing you can do is reboot the 3DS.

Well, finally did it, I have a N3DS with emuNAND through reiNAND. I have a question, just to make certain I don't bork it. I have DevMenu installed on emuNAND. Do I use it's Import function to install .CIA files (converted 3DS ROMs, homebrew games, utility apps, etc) to my emuNAND?

i want to buy a card that can play old ds games, is this possible?
is it also possible to play gba / snes trough such a card? (at full emulation speed)

if yes: which chard should i buy.

There is a lot of recommendation on the forum for a product called "DSTWO". I personally do not own one, but I know for a fact that it is able to provide what you're wanting. It also works on your firmware as well.

I have a New 3DS on 9.0
I have MT-Card that I used on my old 3DS. No longer being updated but afaik the DS flashcard can be useful.

I want to get CFW or anything that can run backups, .cias, whatever I don't mind how I just wanna play.

Is there anything for me without having to buy Cubic Ninja or another flashcard?

Disregard.

Didn't get a reply in time (not that I mind or expect anyone to feed me), so tried updating to 4.3 using Ocarina. Worked as soon as I upgraded, didn't have to reinstall MSET.

Yes, use the import function to install cias.

ReiNAND has emuNAND support and the signature patches. You'll still need Cubic Ninja or a Sky3DS with Cubic Ninja installed on it. You only need one of the aforementioned carts once; after the initial exploit launch you can install the MSET exploit and use that to launch ReiNAND.

On the O3DS, yes. On the N3DS, no; N3DS emuNAND can only go up to 9.5.

Made an account. I have a question. Would it be sensible to get OoT for the exploit now? And would it be sensible to get it in cartridge form or from an eShop download. I am asking this because of the future possibilities. Sorry if this has already been asked. I appreciate any replies and will strive to get back to them as soon as I can. Thanks.

Hi, I'm trying to get custom gba virtual consoles working on my 3ds and I'm thinking I'm doing something wrong. Help please?

I have a 4.x eur 3ds with a a nand usb mod and a gateway cart. I followed the instructions here https://gbatemp.net/threads/rxtools-with-signatures-patched-out.390607/page-65#post-5540327 to get rxtools working, I added the dbs folder and the two files. I followed the instructions here https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-agb_firm-signature-patcher-gba-rom-converter.390313/ but when I try and open a gba vc all I get is a black screen. What am I doing wrong or missing? Thanks.

Did you install the GBA VC on sysNAND or emuNAND? With rxTools, if you want to play them on emuNAND you need to install them on sysNAND as well.

Have you tried installing a different GBA VC? The one you installed might be bad.

Ya, I've tried a few, all of them give me a black screen.

I'm not sure then. Have you tried booting them in both sysNAND and emuNAND? I don't think it'll make a difference, but it's worth a try.

Yes; in emunand it gives me a black screen, in sysnand it says that the software cannot be launched and to redownload from the eshop.
