Hacking installing MSET on old 4.2 3ds

how do i install MSET on my version 4.2 USA 3ds? the usual method of spider tools and code.bin and MT card method, then going to the battlefieldsingleplayer.com/apachethunder/Images... method doesnt work anymore... is there a another way on installing MSET? I will need MSET to install DevMenu and access CFW then launch RXtools to play CIA games..

is there a workaround to install DEVMENU?

followed all the steps but im having problems in launching FBI in my EMUNAND. tried unlinking the NANDS but still after injecting FBI on the other options then Launching rx mode in emunand, it just boot normally and goes to my rxmode emunand

Yes it's suppose to go to your emunand.. then you go to the H&S Information app to launch FBI. Are you saying you get an error when trying to launch the H&S app?

lastly.. im trying to put RXTOOLS on MSET mode.. but whenever I install FBI on SYSNAND I get an error.. any idea?

i manage to successfully install FBI on sysnand then clicked Launch rxMode in sysnand, but when i click the healthy precaution. it does nothin, any idea?

Put back the .app and .tmd files on your sd card and try again. When you injected FBI into emunand, it was successful, but it also deletes the .app and .tmd off your sd card. Make sure you use the right version and region!

yes.. it installed fine. the problem is. when I got to sysnand the Health and Precaution is just normal, as I said before it succesffuly installed on emunand so ir means I the right version..

is it possible that FBI injection doesnt work on 4.2 version???

I'm on 4.2U and it worked for me first try..
Looks like you will have to inject FBI manually
Or try other versions; if you updated your emunand, maybe your emunand H&S app is v2051 but your sysnand H&S app is different?

Edit: Now I'm confused. You said you have v2051, but there isn't any EUR v2051 in the FBI_Injection folder for Beta7. Only USA has v2051. Aren't you using a EUR 3DS?

install the fbi.cia on emunand and put to install the mset rop in nand.

i have a US 3DS.. and a version v2051.. updated my emunand to 9.9 then inject FBI.. it worked without problems on EMUNAND... going further with the tut.. and want to set MSET for rxtools.. I install the same files I used on EMUNAND for my SYSNAND.. everything went fine on installation.. then booted rxtools on SYSNAND. and while im on RX SYSNAND.. and clicking the healthy precaution, it doesnt boot the FBI. just a normal healthy precaution..

inshort. FBI works on 9.9 EMUNAND. but cant get it to work on 4.2 SYSNAND.. even with successful install on both cant get it to work on SYSNAND 4.2

can you just link me with your v2051 files? thanks

Okay I understand completely. I have the same v2051 files you have. You are using rxtools 3.0 beta7 right? try the 2.6 version and the fbi injection files, that's what I used on my 3DS and it worked. We both have 4.2U sysnand so I don't know what might be the problem.
