On the O3DS use SaveDataFiler to extract the saves. On the N3DS use SaveDataFiler to import the saves. After that they should work.

Cool, i got it working i didnt realize the saves were stored on the internal sd lol. I was thinking of the NDS flashcarts where they are on the micro sd, so i just moved them over and they work fine. Let me ask you guys this, do you guys use the zelda exploit every time you restart the system ? Or did you install the profile exploit on youe n3ds?

I am considering grabbing a gateway set, providing I know what im about to do, first.
The prerequisites seem to change with every gateway update and 3DS firmware version,
so I really dont know what the gateway set needs/can do for my particular system. :')

My 3DSXL is still 8.1.0-19E, so I assume my door is still wide open?

The most important question I have; Do you always need internet access?
I'm not sure if the internet is only required for the exploit, or every time I boot up.
If I need it just to play a game, that would be annoying when im on vacation or just out and about..

Also, do you still need zelda/cubic to get it going? Or is the blue card enough?
And what is this business about needing another old firmware 3DS?

Can someone tell me what I need, and what my best plan of action would be?
It would be greatly appreciated. ^_^

EDIT:
Ok, so after some digging around I found out a flashcard is nolonger needed?
Apparently all you need to do is make it boot RXtools, to install games as CIAs?

Hey guys! I decided to ask the following question here first, since this is the noob question section and I didn't want to bug the actual thread :P

Where does everyone download NTR 3.0 plugins, how do you install/use these, and is there any written tutorial/thread about plugins?
Thanks for any answers :)

Can multiple instances of the same SecureInfo_A.bin exist on multiple systems as long as the original never connected to the internet?

I installed the profile exploit on mine; it's way more convenient and you don't need to bring an extra game cart with you.

You will need internet access to set up rxTools as you are above 4.X. You have some options after setting up rxTools though. You can use the Gateway launcher to downgrade to 4.X and use the MSET exploit. Alternatively, you can use Pasta CFW and sysUpdater to update to 9.2.0-20 and use rxTools to set up the MSET exploit (upgrading will require a copy of Cubic Ninja or a Sky3DS with Cubic Ninja installed on it). You don't need to set up the MSET exploit, but it will allow you to launch rxTools without an internet connection. Ocarina of Time or Cubic Ninja is only necessary for the N3DS; the O3DS doesn't require anything other than the console and an SD card.

Grab the Gateway launcher from the Gateway website (you will need this to set up emuNAND. You can also use it to downgrade to 4.X if you choose to do so [note that downgrading will cause issues with saves on retail game carts that use the 6.X save encryption]). You do not need the Gateway cart to use the launcher.

In theory, you should be able to extract your 6.X saves with SaveDataFiler prior to downgrading, then import them back after downgrading. I haven't actually tested this though, so I can't confirm that it will work.

Hello! Currently I have a N3DSXL with GW installed.
Sysnand: 9.0.0-20U
Emunand: GW3D 9.5.0-23U

Recently, I have been playing only 3ds games with the red cart. But...I wanted to play nds games now with the blue card.
So, I decided to wipe out the microsd card for the red gateway card so I can put nds games in there for the blue card since I don't have any extra microsd cards. So I put the contents from the R4I folder from GW folder into the microsd card. Then created a folder "Games" and proceeded to put the nds games in there. Also, I installed the blue card fix.cia onto the sysnand using the red card and dev menu.
Now the problem. I inserted the blue card onto the 3ds. Nothing pops up? Like I've read that Deep Atlus or something was supposed to come out and I just need to run it and play the games. But it doesn't pop up so I can't play nds games. So I'm stuck on what to do because I don't think I've read something like this happening to someone else (or I haven't looked for it hard enough...) So, if someone here has actually read a thread where this happened AND there was the solution then I would really really appreciate it if you can just put the link since I don't want to waste someone's time with this when there's a solution out there somewhere buried in the forums...Or if not. Then I would gladly receive help from people here.
Oh and just to be sure, the format for the microsd card that goes inside the blue card should be exFAT correct?

Thanks for the help!! :)

The blue card was blocked on 6.X. If you want to use it, install the bluecardfix.cia included with the Gateway launcher download to sysNAND.

Edit: Nevermind, missed the part where you said you installed the bluecardfix.

No. The blue card doesn't support exFAT. That format is only used for the red GW card. That's what you need to change.

The blue card was blocked on 6.X. If you want to use it, install the bluecardfix.cia included with the Gateway launcher download to sysNAND.

Read again. He already said he did.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Make sure you installed the bluecardfix.cia to sysnand for real and not emunand though.

Hey
I am looking for some advice concerning the NEW 3DS XL using the following flashcards:

A. Gateway3DS and
B. R4i SDHC 3DS RTS
my query is the following:
1. If I own a single NEW 3DSXL system version 9.0, would I be able to use both the Gate3DS Red Flashcard (for 3DS games) and the R4i SDHC 3DS RTS (for DS games) simultaneously, i.e, would I be able to simply remove the Gateway Red Flashcard after I finish playing a 3DS game, and then insert the R41 SDHC flashcart and begin playing a DS game?

2. Is the R4i SDHC 3DS RTS truly capable of supporting DS roms on a NEW 3DS? Would it support firmware 9.0 NEW 3DS to run DS roms?

3. What is the best suggestion that the professionals on here would suggest for someone with a NEW 3DS XL to be able to play 3DS roms, DS roms this same system? Which flashcards should I purchase to facilitate this? And what would the installation process be?

I have searched through several of the forums articles and I am still confused about these topics. I would really appreciate if someone would offer some advice.

I have not yet bought any flashcards yet, I am presently awaiting delivery of a NEW 3DS XL, firmware version 9.0.

Gateway is enough for you since it already brings a 3DS flashcart (red card) and a DS flashcart (blue card).
The blue card is blocked in firmware 9.0 but that can be changed by installing a file on the console that reverts that system file to an older version in which the DS flashcarts aren't blocked.

To play 3DS games you just need to boot into GW and play using the red card. To play DS games, you can play without even booting into GW (after installing that aforementioned file necessary to unblock the blue card).

On a N3DS you need to have Cubic Ninja or Zelda: Ocarina of Time to boot into GW the first time at least however. After booting the first time, you can downgrade the Mset component of the console which will allow you to exploit the console and boot it without needing any extra game or online connection.

Aside from GW, you also have some CFWs that you can use altho you will still require at least Cubic Ninja to boot into them the first time since you have a N3DS. I think there's other option possibly like Zelda but not sure. And keep in mind that with CFW you can only install CIA files (games, apps, etc). You can't use roms in .3ds format (the regular ones that would go inside the flashcart). On the other hand, a CFW is basically free since you only need to pay for CN or whatever other way you use to boot into it.

I need confirmation on the following please: that I cannot create a NAND backup with the latest firmware, 9.9.0-26U o3DS (yes, I am running this). This is because you can't run PastaCFW, ReiNAND, or rxTools on this current firmware, right? Also, there is currently no homebrew launcher app that can create a NAND backup for me since I can run Youtubehax and Ironhax to access homebrew. Essentially, I want to create a NAND backup if I can given my situation. Thanks.

Yes, you can't. Other than a NAND backup by hardmod, there's no other way.

"The blue card is blocked in firmware 9.0 but that can be changed by installing a file on the console that reverts that system file to an older version in which the DS flashcarts aren't blocked."

I was hoping this would work. a couple things are still confusing to me:
-For the Gateway BLUE ds Flashcard to work, the firmware on the New3DS would need to be downgraded to at least 5.9? (I read that all firmwares 6.0 and above have blocked DS Flashcards like Gateway Blue Card)
-What is the lowest firmware that the New3DS is compatible with? Is it possible to downgrade a New3DS to below 6.0? (I am also reading that the lowest firmware that the New3DS ships with is 6.0)
-Can I use the CFWs to install CIA game files while simultaneously having the GW red and blue card exploits/modifications done on the same New3DS unit?

-Also unrelated where would the community recommend is a safe place to purchase GW cards online? Any company reputed to have a more trustworthy sales department, shipping tested/working cards?

-Cubic Ninja is expensive online lol. Im guessing I definitely NEED to have a copy available for the exploit.

Really appreciate your advice and feedback. Please correct me if I am wrong about anything.

You don't downgrade the entire firmware of the console, just one component of it.
The bluecardfix.cia contains a system file which is an older version of the same system file that exists currently on your console's system. The difference is that in that older version the DS flashcarts weren't blocked. So by installing that file alone into your console's system you're able to overwrite the most recent file and that way unblock the blue card so that it works on your console.

And yes, you can use CFWs alongside Gateway. Luckily there's several different ways to boot into GW/CFWs so you can use them together.
